This data set is a hydrographic survey collected by CTD and ADCP throughout West Antarctica, but largely in the Bellingshausen and Amundsen Seas, during the research cruise NBP19-01 on the research vessel Nathaniel B. Palmer. Each of the 78 stations provide full-depth profiles of temperature, salinity, oxygen, fluorescence and PAR. Velocity profiles were also collected from a Lowered Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (LADCP). The temperature, salinity and velocity measurements have been calibrated and quality controlled (see link to cruise report below). All other properties have not been calibrated at this time. This data set also contains glider data obtained during the second part of the project. Please contact the PI, Andrew Thompson for further information. Data are in NetCDF. Nutrients and other data were collected from CTD and bottle casts in the Antarctic Ocean from the Nathaniel B. Palmer from 18 October 1996 to 30 April 1997. Data were collected as part of the Ross Sea Process 1 Cruise project and the JGOFS, Antarctic Environments Southern Ocean Process Study. Data include water depths, ammonium concentrations, and urea concentrations.

This dataset includes the profile discrete measurements of dissolved inorganic carbon, total alkalinity, CTD salinity and temperature collected during the R/V Xuelong CHINARE2008 cruise (EXPOCODE 76XL20080730) in the Arctic Ocean, Chukchi Sea from 2008-07-30 to 2008-09-11. The CHINARE project is an international collaboration between U.S. and Chinese scientists to study the water column carbonate chemistry in the western Arctic Ocean and Bering Sea.
