Turbidity, SOLAR RADIATION - ATMOSPHERIC and other data from unknown platforms from 1993-01-01 to 1993-12-31 (NCEI Accession 9600051)
The Hi resolution conductivity, temperature and depth (CTD); Ocean Station data (OSD); Zooplankton; Bacteria; and Assorted Radiochemical data in this accession was collected as part of Bering & Pacific Russian/US Cooperative (BERPAC) Research Program between January 1 to December 31, 1993. Oceanographic Station Data contain physical and chemical oceanographic data recorded at discrete depth levels. The Oceanographic Station Data observations were made using multi-bottle Nansen casts or other types of water samplers. The data was submitted to NODC by Dr. Clifford P. Rice, United States Department of Agriculture.

This data set contains time series moored buoy data collected in the Bering Sea by Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL) during the period of September 8, 1975 to July 28, 1982. The data consists of pressure and temperature readings. The original tape was in ASCII format and is currently available in the NODC format. These data were collected as part of the Outer Continental Shelf Environmental Assessment Program (OCSEAP) project conducted by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Principal Investigator for this study was Dr. James D. Schumacher.

The data was collected from May 24, 1954 to December 17, 1993. The originator's bathythermograph (XBT and MBT) data was submitted by Dr. Adolfo J g. Villanueva, AODC, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Format documentation is provided with the data.

Data were collected as part of the US JGOFS Antarctic Environments Southern Ocean Process Study (AESOPS). CTD data include temperature and salinity profiles. Bottle data include concentration profiles of nitrate, nitrite, silicate, phosphate, ammonia, phaeopigment, and chlorophyll a.
