These assets are either owned or managed by City Services, Transport Canberra and City Services Directorate (TCCS) and Parks and Conservation Service, Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate (EPSDD). Assets managed and / or owned privately, by other ACT Government Directorates or by the Federal Government may not be included. Polygons in the playground data are not precisely mapped and may include several play areas (defined as Softfall areas). If exact Softfall boundaries are required please refer to the Play areas dataset. Attributes include location description, suburb, ownership, maintained by, asset sub type (Central Community, Central Neighbourhood, District, Local Neighbourhood, Local Neighbourhood Natural, Rural), parking and shade options. These assets are captured and maintained in the asset database through the works as executed (WAE) handover process or field audits. A sportsground is the entire area of the ACT asset. A ground may contain one or more fields.
Attributes include location description, suburb, ownership, maintained by, asset sub type (Community Recreation Irrigated Park, District Playing Field, Enclosed Oval, Informal Use Oval, Neighbourhood Oval, Special Purpose Area, Swimming Pool) and surface type (combination, cool season, synthetic, warm season).
These assets are captured and maintained in the asset database through the works as executed (WAE) handover process or field audits.
