CFA Volunteer data captures demographic information for all operational and non-operational volunteers (aged 16 years and over). Data are collected in order to meet CFA's statutory obligations and to monitor CFA workforce and volunteer numbers. Key data items include the number of operational/non-operational volunteers segmented by district and gender and the number of operational/non-operational volunteers segmented by region and length of service. CFA has approximately 60,000 volunteers and demographic information has been consistently captured since 2000.

The following datasets are based on the adult (age 21 and over) beneficiary population and consist of aggregate MHS data derived from Medi-Cal claims, encounter, and eligibility systems. These datasets were developed in accordance with California Welfare and Institutions Code (WIC) § 14707.5 (added as part of Assembly Bill 470 on 10/7/17). CFA captures data on community-based information and education interventions provided by CFA staff and volunteers. These include community meetings, Home Bushfire Advisory Service (HBAS) visits and School Education Programs. Data are captured by location across Victoria to monitor intervention coverage. Many of these interventions were implemented as a result of recommendations made by the 2009 Victorian Bushfire Royal Commission (VBRC). Data are captured since inception of each program (2009-2010).

The Monthly Child Care Services Data Report - Families Served by County data set includes demographic data of parents and families of children receiving Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) assistance. The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) Office of Child Care (OCC) collects data regarding the children and families served through the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) as well as the types of child care settings and facilities providing services. Each quarterly data set contains data aggregated by county for each month of the quarter. Counts less than 5 are masked with an asterisk (*) to protect the confidentiality of individuals in this report.

The Current Population Survey Civic Engagement and Volunteering (CEV) Supplement is the most robust longitudinal survey about volunteerism and other forms of civic engagement in the United States. Produced by AmeriCorps in partnership with the U.S. Census Bureau, the CEV takes the pulse of our nation’s civic health every two years. The latest data was collected in September 2023. The CEV can generate reliable estimates at the national level, within states and the District of Columbia, and in the largest twelve Metropolitan Statistical Areas to support evidence-based decision making and efforts to understand how people make a difference in communities across the country.
