The record contains leaf traits information measured on Eucalyptus tereticornis trees from the EucFACE site in Cumberland Plain in 2012. Data on tree height, leaf dry mass per unit leaf area (LMA), stomatal conductance to water vapour (gs), light saturated leaf net CO2assimilation rates (Asat) and maximum net CO2 exchange rate at light- and CO2-saturation (Amax) are provided.

This data contains stem diameter, height measurement and above ground living biomass calculations for a remnant Eucalyptus woodland from 2014 - present. Diameter and height measurements for stems ≥10cm diameter at breast height were sampled within the core 1 ha plot within the Cumberland Plain site. Mistletoe cover data is also presented.

The record contains information on the leaf level physiology, chemistry and structural traits data measured from dominant tree and shrub species from the Great Western Woodlands Site in 2013. Data on leaf level physiology parameters associated with light saturated photosynthesis and intercellular carbon dioxide curves (ACi), and leaf dry mass per leaf area trait (LMA) and leaf nitrogen and phosphorous content are provided.

The dataset contains maps of total % C3 and C4 plant cover, proportional C3 and C4 vegetation (relative to combined C3 and C4 cover), and vegetation δ13C isoscape (stable carbon isotope values) across Australia. Data are centered on year 2015. We used vegetation and land-use rasters to categorize grid-cells (100 m2) into woody (C3), native herbaceous (C3 and C4), and herbaceous cropland (C3 and C4) cover. TERN Ecosystem Surveillance field surveys and environmental factors were regressed to predict native C4 herbaceous cover. These layers were combined and a δ13C mixing model was used to calculate site-averaged δ13C values.

The record contains information on leaf trait and stable isotope data of Eucalyptus salubris trees in the Credo Flux tower area, from the Great Western Woodlands Site. Data on individual tree height, stem circumference and leaf traits such as leaf thickness, leaf mass, leaf density, specific leaf area, leaf chemical data, including the d13C and d15N content are provided. In addition, data on soil chemical analysis from the site are provided.

Gentry transects and quadrats were established to monitor the vegetation abundance, cover and structure of the mid-stratum and subordinate stratum of the core 1 ha plot in the Cumberland Plain site in 2014.
