Data collated for the Blue Economy CRC 'Futures of Seafood' project
The Blue Economy CRC Futures of Seafood project is an initiative that maps, models and describes the spatial, economic and social impacts of the full suite of government policies and targets that impact ocean access on the seafood industry. This resource acts as a 'parent' record to collate IMAS-hosted data records relevant to the Futures of Seafood project delivered by CSIRO , in collaboration with NESP Marine and Coastal Hub Project 4.20.

The Blue Economy CRC has commissioned a team of experts from CSIRO to support the collation of data and produce sets of maps as inputs to the Futures of Seafood study State of Play (Work Package 1). The study team greatly appreciate the efforts taken by jurisdictional governments to supply the data, and the ongoing engagement on the production of these maps. The team is now finalising the jurisdictional map sets and is seeking final review of the data. Once reviewed, these maps will be included in the Futures of Seafood outputs that will be available on https://futuresofseafood.com.au/

Aquafin CRC Salmon Project - Process Study 1- Water Column Spatial Survey - Huon Estuary - April 2005
공공데이터포털
The Aquafin CRC Salmon Project is being undertaken by CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research (CMAR) and Tasmanian Aquaculture and Fisheries Institute (TAFI). Process Study 1 was undertaken between 12-14 April 2005 in the Huon Estuary offshore from Hideaway Bay. During the spatial survey samples were collected from six sites for the analysis of nutrients, dissolved oxygen, phytoplankton species identification, chlorophyll and carotenoid pigments and the absorption coefficients for dissolved (CDOM) particulate (ap) and detrital or non-algal (ad) components of the water column. Three depths were sampled (0, 3 and 3 m from the bottom) as well as a 12 m integrated water column sample. The only exception was dissolved oxygen which was sampled only at two depths (0 and 3 m from the bottom). During this study samples were collected from each of the six sites on consecutive days (12 and 13 April). At each site prior to the collection of the samples a CTD profile to near bottom was collected using the Seaboard 4550 and the Secchi depth measured. PLEASE NOTE - The phytoplankton results were updated in June 2012 with a correction. The original biovolume unit in column L and M was incorrect and should have been µL/L. The values in column M and L have been divided by 1000 and the unit mL/L left unchanged. Other values are not affected including CPL and Group CPL.
Aquafin CRC Salmon Project - Process Study 2- Water Column Spatial Survey - Huon Estuary - September 2005
공공데이터포털
The Aquafin CRC Salmon Project is being undertaken by CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research (CMAR) and Tasmanian Aquaculture and Fisheries Institute (TAFI).Process Study 2 was undertaken between 20-22 September 2005 in the Huon Estuary offshore from Hideaway Bay.During the spatial survey samples were collected from six sites (the same as for PS1) for the analysis of nutrients, dissolved oxygen, phytoplankton species identification, chlorophyll and carotenoid pigments and the absorption coefficients for dissolved (CDOM) particulate (ap) and detrital or non-algal (ad) components of the water column.Three depths were sampled (0, 3 and 3 m from the bottom) as well as a 12 m integrated water column sample. The only exception was dissolved oxygen which was sampled only at two depths (0 and 3 m from the bottom). During this study samples were collected from each of the six sites on two non-consecutive days (20 and 22 April). At each site prior to the collection of the samples a CTD profile to near bottom was collected (Seacat 4550) and the Secchi depth measured.

Physical oceanography - Developing end-to-end models of the California Current Large Marine Ecosystem
공공데이터포털
The purpose of this project is to develop spatially discrete end-to-end models of the California Current LME, linking oceanography, biogeochemistry, food web interactions, habitat, fisheries, economics, monitoring, and management into a common model framework. This framework allows for thought experiments, including evaluation of alternate management strategies, identifying robust indicators, and assessing relative importance of different ecosystem drivers in regulating important processes. NMFS personnel are conducting this work in broad collaboration with other NOAA scientists, academics, and NGOs. The specific work entails model development, scoping issues with stakeholders and policy makers, running scenarios, and analyzing and writing up the results. Products will include peer-reviewed papers, presentations, and workshops with modelers and/or stakeholders. Management audiences include NMFS west coast regions and the PFMC. The project is an on-going, stand-alone project with no firm deadline for completion. Outputs of the ROMS model.
