GDA94 Landgate Project Grids (LGATE-214)
The dataset defines the extents and parameters for each of the GDA94 Landgate project grids. Project grids provide a Transverse Mercator (TM) based standard for the interchange of data for engineering, surveying and mapping projects. Within a project grid, the distance between two points on a plan will be the same as the ground distance to a defined tolerance of 20 parts per million (ppm). This makes the project grids ideal for engineering applications, facilitating the use of plane coordinate calculations for design and construction set out. © Western Australian Land Information Authority (Landgate). This dataset portrays the state boundary based on the 2010 Cadastral National Spatial Data Infrastructure (CADNSDI) Geographic Coordinate Data Base (GCDB) distribution. The GCDB was acquired from a Premier Data contract in coordination with the BLM state GCDB Data Stewards to deliver a standardized GCDB product. This product would be capable, where GCDB data exists, to identify the State borders. Where GCDB data does not exist, in cases or rivers, lakes, and unsurveyed terrain, then alternative sources were used to identify the state boundary. Alternative sources include original 24K USGS Maps and US Forest Service Cartographic Feature File (CFF) PLSS data.
