Department for Housing and Urban Development - Land Division Applications
This dataset contains land division development applications pursuant to the Planning Act and Development Act 1993 lodged between November 1989 and October 1996 which had more than 5 allotments and all applications lodged since October 1996 regardless of the number of allotments. Once a Certificate of Approval to Divide has been lodged with the Lands Titles Office the plan is deposited and the application (or relevant parts of an application for staged applications) status is changed from proposal to deposited. Other statuses record and reflect the current status of applications (and stages): refused, withdrawn and lapsed.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Land Development Zones falls under the Development Act 1993 and has been superseded by the Planning and Design Code Zones under the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016. Land Development Zones consists of planning zones, policy areas and precincts derived from legal planning boundaries. This information is obtained from individual council Development Plans and has been captured for the state, based on development plan areas. Land use change: Proportion of new dwellings on previously developed land and density of new dwellings. Data is for four years combined for reliability. Regional data is available for single years on Communities and Local Government website. The data in the table above are based on records received from Ordnance Survey up to March 2010. The table is therefore consistent with the Statistical Release published on 30th July 2010. There is a time-lag between land use change occurring and it being recorded, because some changes can take a few years to be recorded, therefore data are constantly being updated. Land Use Statistics by ward (Generalised Land Use Database) 2005 (Enhanced Basemap). Uses include, domestic buildings, gardens, non-domestic buildings, greenspace, paths, rail, road and water. Area is presented in Thousands of square metres ('000s m2). These are experimental Statistics - this information has been developed in accordance with the principles set out in the National Statistics Code of Practice but has yet to be fully accredited as a National Statistic. Communities and Local Government consider the 2005 figures to be the definitive land use statistics. No further work is planned on the Generalised Land Use Database. The statistics have been calculated for each ward. Generalised Land Use Database (GLUD) 2005 (Enhanced Basemap) statistics are available for a number of other administrative areas such as output areas and local authorities from http://www.neighbourhood.statistics.gov.uk/ Open this dataset aggregated to borough level.

This data is now obsolete, current UDP data is available. Identifies undeveloped land for residential development generally on the fringe of the metropolitan area. Each record in the database details the anticipated development timing, the area of the site in hectares and the potential lot yield. Other details are also records against each site. This information maps land areas for both the supply and recent development categories they are; Supply area categoties >> 1-2years, 3-5years, 6-10years, 11+years, UGZ (PSP required) and Potential Residential Recently developed categories >> Developed land for years 2013, 2014 & land under construction. In addition to the development status categories, two other attributes describe whether the land is currently zoned residential and/or is low density.
