This dataset contains the locations and some characteristics of Queensland Government soil survey sites. The sites have been described by government surveyors during mapping and research activities from the 1950's to the present. A link to a detailed report for each site is also provided.

This map service contains all soil and land resource mapping currently available for Queensland, which is maintained by the Department of Natural Resource Mines and Energy and the Department of Environment and Science. The service contains soil site data and soil polygon mapping data which is represented as four main types: soil, land management manual, land system and land degradation mapping (including acid sulfate soil mapping). This dataset contains bibliographic records and persistent URLs for the digitised maps held within the State Library of Western Australia’s map collection, including cadastral and town-site maps across the state of Western Australia. The maps range from the early 1840s to the mid-1980s and include land use, zoning, lot numbers, boundary measurements, terms of sale, and locality plans; as well as distances from utilities, landmarks and businesses. Highlights include the Lindsay J. Peet Collection of Cadastral Maps; town-site maps from the WA Department of Lands and Surveys; the Australia Soviet Military City Plans, Perth; and the Polus Antarticus states, which show the South Pole and Australia prior to the discoveries of Tasman in 1642 and 1643-44. This set also includes the Historic map series 1880-1890 which has been captured as its own dataset.

Data formerly available through the Historical Crown Allotment Enquiry search function in Landgate's Land Enquiry System (LEN). Primarily used a resource to assist in identifying historical crown allotment information in Western Australia. Contains information related to District Name Town/Lot Allotment Numbers, Fraction and Suffix Region Status Date of Status Register Crown Land Record and more The state is divided into many different areas called Land Districts and Town site Allotments. These parcels are created under the Land Act but have links with the Transfer of Land Act parcels. These Land District and Town site allotment areas are themselves subdivided into parcels.
