Ningaloo Marine Park Monitoring Program
Benthic lifeform and substrate monitoring data from 1993 onwards, held in the RM_VPOINT table of the NMPMP database. Percentage cover of different substrate types and benthic organisms (particularly corals), identified to benthic group or lifeform level. Videos are made along fixed transects and data is analysed from stills on a large video screen halted at specified time intervals. The AIMS LTMP monitors about 50 selected reefs throughout the Great Barrier Reef. Transects are recorded at 3 sites per reef, and 3 50m transects per site. Visual transect data is stored in a separate table, and described as a separate but related dataset.

National Coral Reef Monitoring Program: Towed-diver surveys of benthic habitats, key benthic species, and marine debris of American Samoa
공공데이터포털
The visual estimate data provided in this collection were gathered during towed-diver surveys around American Samoa. During towed-diver surveys, the diver records the percentage cover of total live hard corals, stressed hard corals, soft corals, sand, coralline algae, macroalgae, and the number of individual macroinvertebrates (crown of thorns starfish (COTS), sea urchins, and giant clams). Benthic habitat complexity and type data are also collected as part of the survey with the following habitat type categories: continuous reef, spur and groove, patch reefs, rock boulders, pavement, rubble flat, sand flats, pinnacle, and wall. Surveys were conducted in American Samoa as part of the ongoing NOAA National Coral Reef Monitoring Program (NCRMP).
Guam Community Coral Reef Monitoring Program, Benthic Quadrat Surveys at Guam in 2013
공공데이터포털
Guam community members gathered benthic cover data using a 0.25m2 quadrat with 6 intersecting points at each meter along a 25-meter transect. Members identified corals and algae to genus (when possible), seagrass to species, and sponges to phylum. Data is supported by photos from the sites. Members collect a total of 150 data points for each transect.
