NSW Imagery Theme Rapid Response - Floods March 2021
Access API NSW Imagery Theme Rapid Response – Floods March 2021 Metadata Portal Metadata Information Content TitleNSW Imagery Theme Rapid Response - Floods March 2021Content TypeHosted Feature LayerDescription Rapid response imagery is captured and produced to identify visible features and terrain in order to support emergency management decision making during and after adverse natural events. In this case the imagery covers areas affected by recent flooding.Additionally, the rapid response imagery product is used on a whole of government basis as a visible record of the landscape at a given point in time, allowing for comparative analysis to be carried out over multiple capture dates. The imagery was created by ortho-rectifying and mosaicing data from flight lines over the project area captured by Spatial Services using a Leica-Geosystems ADS80 airborne digital sensor. An ECW product is created as a Standard Colour (RGB) orthorectifed mosaic file and a JP2 file is created as a False Colour (NRG) orthorectified file. The file size depends on the individual project area, compression ratio and the number of bands that exist in the image. As a rapid response product, this dataset meets the standards and accuracy specifications outlined in December 2016 for this product type. Spatial Services captures and updates imagery from advice provided by stakeholders primarily through Imagery and Elevation NSW, a working group of the NSW Location Leadership Group.Initial Publication Date18/11/2021Data Currency01/01/3000Data Update FrequencyOtherContent SourceData provided filesFile TypeESRI File Geodatabase (*.gdb)Attribution© State of New South Wales (Spatial Services, a business unit of the Department of Customer Service NSW). Access API NSW Imagery Theme Rapid Response - CIR - Floods Mar 2022 Metadata Portal Metadata Information Content TitleNSW Imagery Theme Rapid response - CIR - Floods March 2022Content TypeHosted Feature LayerDescriptionThe CIR (Colour Infra Red) rapid response imagery has been captured and produced to identify visible features and terrain and to support emergency management decision making in exceptional cases. In this case areas affected by recent Flooding. The CIR or NRG mosaics consist of the NIR, Red and Green band combination and can be referred to as False-colour Infrared imagery. This band combination is useful for studying vegetation and the depiction of water. The rapid response imagery product is also used on a whole of government basis as a visible record of the landscape at a given point in time, allowing for comparative analysis to be carried out over different capture dates. The image was created by ortho-rectifying and mosaicing data from flight lines over the project area using a Leica ADS80 airborne digital sensor. NSW Imagery Theme – Flood Extent 202207 The NSW Imagery Theme – Flood Extent 202207 is polygon feature dataset that represents the extent of the 202207 flooding event. This data set has been produced by The Copernicus Emergency Management Service (CEMS). It uses satellite imagery and other geospatial data to provide mapping services in cases of natural disasters including the 202207 flooding event. This is rapid response imagery over natural disasters such as Floods , Fire, Hail Damage etc. As it is impacted by the flying conditions at the time of capture and they go through an express processing method it is not the same product as the Standard and Town capture programs. As there is a range of different intellectual property that applies to each capture this imagery is on request basis.
