The Department of Human Services Annual Report (Annual Report) sets out the department’s activities for the financial year with a focus on the department's performance and financial details, amongst other information. The Annual Report is prepared in accordance with the Requirements for Annual Reports, issued by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Under the *Public Service Act 1999* (Cth.) the Secretary of the Department of Human Services is required, after the end of each financial year, to provide a report on the department's activities to the Minister, for presentation to the Parliament. Annual Reports are tabled in parliament usually in late October and are available to the public online shortly after tabling. Reports prior to 2012-2013 can be found on the [Department of Human Services website] (http://www.humanservices.gov.au/corporate/publications-and-resources/annual-report/). The department charges on a cost recovery basis for providing more detailed statistics and their provision is subject to privacy considerations. These periods will generally be within a fortnight either side of that date. > Key sections of the overview are: * payments for older people, * people with disability and * those caring for people with disability, severe medical conditions, * or those who are frail aged * student and labour market related payments * family assistance * other payments and services * pensioners paid overseas. >Payment and allowance information, including eligibility criteria, are included within each section.
