Minyumai IPA Vegetation 2010. VIS ID 4776
공공데이터포털
Landmark Ecological Services Pty Ltd (Landmark) was engaged by Minyumai Land Holding Company Ltd in July 2010 to undertake vegetation, flora and fauna surveys and assessments at Minyumai. The surveys and assessments were to provide background for a management plan designed to inform the Federal Government’s Indigenous Protected Areas (IPAs) unit in their consideration of Minyumai’s application to become an IPA and to guide the appropriate biodiversity conservation management of Minyumai for the next five years. The primary objectives of the flora and fauna survey and conservation assessment of the Minyumai property were to map vegetation types from air photo interpretation (API) with groundtruthing compile an inventory of flora species and vertebrate species targeting conservation-priority species, assess the potential habitat value of the property for other EPBC Act and TSC Act-listed species known to occur in the region as well as migratory fauna species and assess the overall significance of the property for vegetation, flora and vertebrate fauna conservation making preliminary recommendations for management of the property’s vegetation, flora species and vertebrate fauna habitats. Minyumai is a 2141.51 ha rural property located about 8 km southwest of Evans Head on the NSW north coast. The property encompasses Lots 2,4,5,7,8,9 - Parish of Esk and Lots 32,33,34, 35, 36,37,51,78,79,85,86,90 - Parish of Evans. The property has a maximum dimension of about 8 km along a northeast-southwest axis and is 2-3 km wide. The south eastern boundary lies about 3 km from the sea and abuts Bundjalung National Park. The Park also forms the property’s southern boundary. Tabbimoble Swamp Nature Reserve lies to the west, and shares a short section of common boundary with Minyumai, while private properties adjoin to the west and north. NOTE: Footprint supplied only. Geospatial data for the Vegetation Mapping Inventory Project of Puuhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park
공공데이터포털
The files linked to this reference are the geospatial data created as part of the completion of the baseline vegetation inventory project for the NPS park unit. Current format is ArcGIS file geodatabase but older formats may exist as shapefiles. To produce the spatial database and map layer, year 2006 0.6-meter, 4-band Quickbird satellite imagery was provided by PACN. By comparing the signatures on the imagery to field and ground data 40 map units (23 vegetated, five barren or geologic, and 12 land-use / land-cover) were developed and directly crosswalked or matched to their corresponding rUSNVC plant associations. The interpreted and remotely sensed data were converted to Geographic Information System (GIS) databases and maps were printed, field tested, reviewed, and revised. The final map layer was accessed for thematic accuracy by overlaying 77 independent accuracy assessment points. The final overall accuracy of the map layer was determined to be 86% with a Kappa value of 88%.

Ngulin Nature Reserve Vegetation 2005 VIS ID 4750
공공데이터포털
Ngulin Nature Reserve vegetation mapping was undertaken by Dr John T. Hunter in 2005 by contract for the NPWS Northern Tableland Region. Ngulin NR incorporates 1255 ha and lies approximately 40 km south east of Walcha towards Nowendoc, within the Northern Tablelands Botanical Region and the New England Tablelands Bioregion. The reserve was gazetted in 1999. The vegetation of Ngulin Nature Reserve is described and mapped (scale 1:25 000). Six communities are defined based on classification (Kulczynski association). These six communities were mapped based on ground truthing, air photo interpretation and landform. Two communities are considered to be endangered and one considered as under threat within the reserve, all others are considered adequately reserved. Most communities are of forest structure, though some sections are woodlands or derived woodlands based on past logging practices. The communities show considerable variation and intergrade along common boundaries and in particular on intermediate soil types or topographic positions. In general all six communities probably are representatives of three broader north eastern assemblages, the Eucalyptus obliqua-E. nobilis association, E. pauciflora association and the Schizomeria-Doryphora- Caldcluvia-Orites sub-alliance. 공공데이터포털
This reference contains the imagery data used in the completion of the baseline vegetation inventory project for the NPS park unit. Orthophotos, raw imagery, and scanned aerial photos are common files held here. 2006 Quickbird Imagery were obtained from the PACN. This imagery was obtained as pan-sharpened, cloud-free, 4-band, 0.6-meter resolution digital ortho-photos that covered the entire island of Hawai‘i. The specific imagery tiles covering the PUHO project area were selected, clipped and mosaiced to provide the basemap for mapping purposes. In addition to the Quickbird imagery, 1-meter, 3-band (true color) 2002 Ikonos imagery was also obtained for PUHO, but due to cloud cover and ensuing changes at PUHO since 2002 this product was only used in an ancillary role.
