NSW Geochemistry Surface Samples
Surface sample geochemistry that has been reported by title holders to the department as part of the mineral exploration reporting requirements. The data is provided annually in the form of exploration data files and stored with the relevant report in DIGS. Data mining of digital exploration data files stored in DIGS is largely complete for the period 2001 to present. Data mining continues for DIGS reports earlier than 2001 using OCR (optical character recognition) software to convert raster data into digital files for loading. Validation of data is an ongoing process. Data available to the public and industry is restricted to DIGS open file reports.

Surface Geochemistry Samples (replacing GCHEM over time)
공공데이터포털
Surface Geochemistry Samples is derived from Minerals and Petroleum's SITES Oracle RDBMS. Data have been obtained from company reports of expired mineral Exploration and Mining Licences since 1965. A surface sample is typically taken to comprise a sample taken from the weathered profile, and which is the only sample taken at that location. It may be a soil or it may be a sediment taken from an active stream bed. Though most soil samples are taken from the B- or C-horizon (approx. 10-40 cm depth) the dataset may, for example, include a sample taken from 2 m depth and obtained by augering. There is, thus, a continuum between surface geochemistry and boreholes datasets.

Geochemistry of Sediment and Associated Leachates from Samples near the Old Yuma Mine, AZ
공공데이터포털
This data set includes analysis of 38 sediment samples collected near the Old Yuma Mine. The sediment samples were collected from tailings, waste rock, stream sediment, and background locations. All samples were analyzed by a total digestion method, some by the USEPA 3050 method, and some were leached by the USEPA 1312 method.
