Vegetation map digitised from Porteners, M.F. (1998). The composition and extent of the present vegetation in Weetalibah Nature Reserve is described and mapped at 1:50 000 scale from quadrat samples, field traverses and aerial photograph interpretation. Three vegetation communities are described and 125 species (127 taxa) of vascular plants recorded from 38 families, several of which are at their north-western geographical limit or regionally restricted. One species is listed under Schedule 2 of the 1995 NSW Threatened Species Conservation Act." VIS_ID 1014

Vegetation community mapping for Watchimbark Nature Reserve by Lachlan Copeland and Antony von Chrismar of Eco Logical Australia Pty Ltd. The project was fully funded and supported by National Parks and Wildlife Hunter Region and the Gloucester Area Office. The vegetation survey was conducted from June-July 2009 and included the collection of data from 13 full-floristic 0.04 ha plots and 30 rapid point surveys. VIS_ID 4490

Vegetation survey and mapping of Wilgavale addition to Ginghet Nature Reserve in 2012, commissioned by NPWS Narrabri Region. Seven communities were determined based on floristic analysis of 20 x 20 m survey sites, and described using dominant species and structural characteristics. Vegetation communities were mapped using ground truthing, position in landscape and stereo interpretation of aerial photos captured at 1:50,000. Lineage and attribution accuracy are unknown. Vegetation association mapping undertaken as part of a resource and fire behaviour assessment for Pilliga Nature Reserve and Warrumbungle National Park in 1990. Existing datasets were collated and field survey undertaken to inform air photo interpretation of vegetation patterns. 36 field survey sites were sampled in the Pilliga. Number of sites sampled in the Warrumbungles is not recorded. Specifications of aerial photography is not provided, however 1:50,000 air photos were flown over the Pilliga and part of Warrumbungles in 1989, and 1:50,000 photos captured in 1982 exist for the remainder of Warrumbungle NP. The purpose of the project was to provide an overall picture of the vegetation types and to sample fuel loadings stratified by vegetation type/physiology/aspect for incorporation into the NPWS FIREMAPS (Fire Mapping and Prediction System) and ERMS databases.
