QED - Full-time Enrolment Census (Point) 2013-2017
공공데이터포털
This dataset presents the location of Queensland state schools with full-time enrolments by year level for the years 2013-2017. The data was collected from the School Census which is conducted on the first Friday of August each year. The Census collects information on students and staff from all non-government establishments that have, as their major activity, the administration or provision of full-time primary, secondary and/or special education. For further information about this dataset, please visit the Queensland Department of Education - Downloadable Data Files. Please note: AURIN has spatially enabled this data using the Queensland Department of Education - State and Non State School Listings 2012-2018. Data is made available through a AURIN-QCIF-RIDL collaboration. From 2015, students enrolled at state schools are recorded against their age or ability appropriate year level as determined by their school. From 2015, Year 7 became the first year of secondary school in Queensland. A half cohort of Prep Year was introduced in 2007 to align with the shift in the compulsory school starting age from 2008. In 2017 the half cohort is in Year 10. The school structure in this data is as at August 2017; historical data has been combined for schools which have been amalgamated. For this reason, schools which were created by an amalgamation may have enrolments for years prior to opening. The number of schools in this data may differ from the school count cube because there are a small number of schools which do not have enrolments of their own; rather students from other schools attend these schools on an as needs basis. The Lady Cilento Children's Hospital School does not have enrolments of their own.
QED - School Disciplinary Absences by Region (Polygon) 2007-2011
공공데이터포털
This dataset presents the footprint of School Disciplinary Absences for Queensland state schools by year and absence type. The data is aggregated to the Department of Education, Training and Employment (DETE) regions and spans the years of 2007-2011. State schools are required to report School Disciplinary Absences (SDA) for the school year in their School Annual Report. There are 4 categories of SDA: short suspension (1-5 days), long suspension (6-20 days), suspensions with proposal/recommendation for exclusion and cancellations of enrolment. A student may be suspended or excluded from a state school or schools because of disobedience, misconduct or other conduct that is prejudicial to the good order and management of the school. A student may also be excluded from a state school for contravention of a Behaviour Improvement Condition. Suspension prohibits a student from attending an educational institution for a nominated period of time (from 1-5 days or 6-20 days). Decisions to suspend a student are made by individual state school principals. For further information about this dataset, please visit the Queensland Department of Education - School Disciplinary Absences. Please note: AURIN has spatially enabled this data using the Departmental Geographic Regions. Data is made available through a AURIN-QCIF-RIDL collaboration. On 5 November 2010, state school principals were given the power to exclude students from their school. They may recommend the decision to their supervisor if they believe it is inappropriate for them to make the decision. The information is displayed in terms of aggregate counts of incidents. These data do not represent the outcomes of any related appeal decisions. The enrolment figures are counts of full-time students which are sourced from the annual August Student Census. School Disciplinary Absence incident counts from 2006 to Semester 1, 2009 were verified by principals when the School Disciplinary Absence Collection system (SDAC) was decommissioned in June 2009. Since Semester 2, 2009 the data source for SDA data has been from OneSchool. This data is validated by the department with school principals at time of collection.
