Regional hotspots provide clear and succinct information about land, planning and infrastructure requirements for future residential, commercial, industrial, tourism, workforce accommodation and government land development. The Region schemes provides a statutory mechanism to assist strategic planning, the coordination of major infrastructure and sets aside areas for regional open space and other community purposes. This dataset shows the zones and reserves for the Region Scheme.

Special Areas dataset have been developed to incorporate a number of datasets. It is to be used in-conjunction with the Zones and Reserves. It contains Bush Forever Areas, Water Catchments, Environmental Conditions and Special Control Areas.

This dataset comprises mapping associated with the State Planning Policy 2.4 Basic Raw Materials (BRM). The Perth Peel Region was subject to extensive interagency strategic BRM planning, including public consultation in 2015 and 2016.

Point and label used to identify the location of Aboriginal settlements, as per State Planning Policy 3.2, available on the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage website.
