Beaches on urban lakes and waterways that are maintained for recreation and are managed by the ACT Government for public access. Attributes include Division, location description and beach name. These assets are managed by City Presentation, Transport Canberra and City Services Directorate (TCCS). Natural, unmaintained beaches, privately managed facilities and facilities managed by other ACT Government Directorates are not included in this dataset. These assets are captured and maintained in the TCCS asset database through the works as executed (WAE) handover process or field audits. Users should be aware that inclusion in this dataset does not imply that the facility is currently open as beaches may be closed at any time due to environmental conditions.
