This dataset shows line locations of the drainage pipes inventoried by the City of Perth. The pipes are the man-made structures used to convey stormwater to the Swan River and other water bodies. The pipes data was collected from as constructed drawings and old survey maps. At least 95% of the locational data for the pipes is accurate to within a few meters. Some errors and/or duplicate data may exist.

These assets are either owned or managed by City Services, Transport Canberra and City Services Directorate (TCCS). Assets managed and / or owned privately, by other ACT Government Directorates or by the Federal Government may not be included.Attributes include location description, suburb, ownership, maintained by, asset sub type (Large Pipe, Medium Pipe, Small Pipe, Very Large Pipe), material, pip diameter, length and grade, up and down invert levels and joint type.These assets are captured and maintained in the asset database through the works as executed (WAE) handover process or field audits.For additional information, please see the relevant municipal infrastructure standard (https://www.cityservices.act.gov.au/plan-and-build/standards-codes-and-guidelines/municipal-infrastructure-design-standards-mis).
