SCAR Retrospective Analysis of Antarctic Tracking Data
We assembled tracking data from seabirds (n = 12 species) and marine mammals (n = 5 species), collected between 1991 and 2016, from across the Antarctic predator research community. See https://data.aad.gov.au/metadata/records/SCAR_EGBAMM_RAATD_2018_Standardised and https://data.aad.gov.au/metadata/records/SCAR_EGBAMM_RAATD_2018_Filtered for the tracking data. Habitat selectivity modelling was applied to these tracking data in order to identify the environmental characteristics important to each species, and to produce circum-Antarctic predictions of important geographic space for each individual species. The individual species maps were then combined to identify regions important to our full suite of species. This approach enabled us to account for incomplete tracking coverage (i.e., colonies from which no animals have been tracked) and to produce an integrated and spatially explicit assessment of areas of ecological importance across the Southern Ocean. The data attached to this metadata record include the single-species maps for Adelie, emperor, king, macaroni, and royal penguins; Antarctic and white-chinned petrels; black-browed, grey-headed, light-mantled, sooty, and wandering albatross; humpback whales; Antarctic fur seal, southern elephant seals, and crabeater and Weddell seals. The data also include the integrated maps that incorporate all species (weighted by colony size, and unweighted). See the paper and its supplementary information for full details on the modelling process and discussion of the model outputs.

A log of biological and sea ice observations made at Mawson station between 1971 and 1974
공공데이터포털
This file contains a log of biological observations undertaken at Mawson station between 1971 and 1974. The observed animals include: Wilson's Storm Petrels, Petrels, Giant Petrels, Skuas, Emperor Penguins, Snow Petrels, Silver Grey Petrels, Antarctic Petrel, Weddell Seals, Crabeater Seals, Leopard Seals, Elephant Seals, Ross Seals and Whales. The log also includes a number of sea ice observations made at Mawson Station. The hard copy of the log has been archived by the Australian Antarctic Division library.
Cape Shirreff female Antarctic fur seal geolocation tracking data
공공데이터포털
To quantify the post-breeding movements of adult female Antarctic females (Arctocephalus gazella) we tracked females using Biotrack GLS (geolocation) data loggers. Females were captured towards the end of the lactation period (March/April) and the GLS tag, affixed to a Dalton flipper tag, was deployed in the trailing edge of the left or right foreflipper. Tags were generally retrieved just prior to or after giving birth the following season. Data files were extracted from the tags using BASTrak software. .lig - light data .tem - temperature data .act - activity data Metadata for each individual include: Site, year, GLS ID, sex, age, deployment site, lat and long of deployment site, flipper tag number, deployment and retrieval times (GMT).
Satellite Tracking of Adelie Penguins in the Terra Nova Bay Region Antarctica
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains the results from satellite tracking the movements of Adelie Penguins (Pygoscellis adeliae) from Edmonson Point in the Terra Nova Bay region, Antarctica. By the use of satellite fixes the foraging locations of the penguins were determined. Monitoring took place between 1994 and 2001. This work was completed as part of ASAC project 2205 (ASAC_2205), 'Adelie penguin research and monitoring in support of the CCAMLR Ecosystem Monitoring Project'.
Bird Island female Antarctic fur seal geolocation tracking data - Isotope Data
공공데이터포털
To quantify the dietary preferences and trophic level consumption of post-breeding adult female Antarctic fur seals (Arctocephalus gazella), we analysed the carbon:nitrogen composition of whiskers and blood samples from the females. Females were captured towards the end of the lactation period (March/April) and whiskers and a blood sample were collected at this time. Females were generally recaptured just prior to or after giving birth the following season and a further whisker and blood sample were collected at this time. Metadata for each individual include: Site, GLS ID, year, flipper tag number, season, sampling date, tissue type, whisker segment number, cumulative length along whisker of the segment, d15N, d13C, percentage N, percentage C and CN ratio.
Satellite Tracking of Adelie Penguins around Antarctica

These datasets contain the results from satellite tracking the movements of Adelie Penguins (Pygoscelis adeliae) from the following locations in Antarctica: Bechervaise Island, Magnetic Island, Shirley Island, Edmonson Point in Terra Nova Bay, Dumont D'Urville area. By the use of satellite fixes the foraging locations of the penguins were determined. See the child metadata records for further information. This work was completed as part of ASAC project 2205 (ASAC_2205), 'Adelie penguin research and monitoring in support of the CCAMLR Ecosystem Monitoring Project'.
