A Social Health Atlas of Compensable Injury in South Australia was commissioned by TRACsa with funding from the Motor Accident Commission and WorkCover Corporation of South Australia. It is the first health atlas to bring population data on compulsory third party and workers' compensation claims together with information on social, economic and demographic characteristics, health status and health service utilisation.

Data spreadsheets (xls), based on the Remoteness Graphs, and presenting the latest Social Health Atlas indicators, where available, are produced by Remoteness Area (Remoteness Graphs) for Australia and the State/ Territory areas. The Remoteness Graphs show variations, for each indicator, by Remoteness Areas (RAs). The RA categories are defined in terms of ‘remoteness' - the physical distance of a location from the nearest Urban Centre (indicative of access to goods and services) based on population size. This spreadsheet contains data items for the local government area (LGA) profiles. Most data items include a rate for each LGA and a ranking of the LGA's score compared with other LGAs. Data is also provided for Department of Health regions and rural and metro Victoria. Modelling GIS and Planning products produces statistical profiles of geographic areas to facilitate service planning and policy development by enabling access to a broad range of data about each geographic area. The geographic profiles currently available on this website are Local Government Area Profiles 2011.

Melbourne 2011 Local Government Area Profile

The Local Government Area profiles are produced annually, from data provided by a range of sources. The profiles currently include around 130 indicators relating to population, socio-demographics, health status and health utilisation. Each indicator is provided as a rate for the LGA, and a ranking of the LGA against all 79 LGAs for that indicator. The LGA profiles also include definitions for each data item, with a description, data source and currency.
