Tasmanian State Boundary
This data set depicts the boundary of the State of Tasmania as defined in the Colonial Acts Confirmation Act, 1894. This is where the state of Tasmania is legally defined for the purpose of federation and the constitution. Tasmanian territory is defined as the land or islands within the bounding rectangle and Macquarie Island. The State Coastal Waters are defined in a series of acts including the Coastal and other Waters (Application of State Laws) Act, 1982 and the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act, 1982. The latter act defines the Tasmanian Adjacent Area which is the basis for the definition of the State Coastal Waters. The Adjacent Area id essentially the same as the State Boundary rectangle plus and extension that includes the South Tasman Rise and Macquarie Island. The State Coastal Waters are broadly defined as a 3 nautical mile band of water measured from the low tide mark the area. The data set was created based on Australian Geodetic Datum, 1966 (AGD66) and then transformed to Geocentric Datum of Australia 1994 (GDA94). No datum was specified in the original legal definition it was decided to use the datum specified for the Adjacent Area definition in the Petroleum (submerged Lands) Act, 1982. The data set is currently stored in GDA94 geographicals (ie latitude and longitude).

LIST Local Government Areas
공공데이터포털
The LIST Local Government Areas data set depicts gazetted Local Government Boundaries for the 29 Municipalities in the State of Tasmania. These were proclaimed in 1993. Since then there has only been a couple of very minor adjustments to these boundaries to conform to gazetted amendments. Local Government Boundaries legally extend to Low Water Mark and include offshore rocks and islands adjacent to the coastline, irrespective of where the digital boundary may portray. Attributes include Local Government Area name, three-digit Municipal (LGA) code and Central Plan Register (CPR) plan reference number.

Greg Tankard - ACT Boundary
공공데이터포털
The ACT Boundary is a single region defined for land administration and the legal description of the Australian Capital Territory. The ACT boundary are defined in metes and bounds form in the Districts Act 1966, and thus cannot be changed without changes to the legislation. The ACT Border was first defined by surveyors between 1910 and 1915, it was redefined by surveyors again between 2003 and 2008. The original border is defined by metes and bounds description in the Seat of Governance ACT 1909, the current ACT Border definition is shown on survey plans held at the ACT Environment and Planning Directorate (EPD). LIST Marine Nature Reserves
공공데이터포털
The Marine Nature Reserve dataset includes areas of Tasmanian State Waters that have been defined as Marine Nature Reserves by the Tasmanian Fisheries Rules 1999. Where part of the Reserve allows restricted fishing, a separate region is created for that part with a note in the Comment field of "Restricted Take". All other Marine Nature Reserves prohibit fishing. Refer to Fisheries Rules 1999 (SR158 of 1999) for details. The Marine Nature Reserves contained within this dataset are: Governor Island Marine Nature Reserve, Maria Island Marine Nature Reserve, Ninepin Point Marine Nature Reserve, Tinderbox Marine Nature Reserve, Kent Group Marine Nature Reserve, Port Davey/Bathurst Harbour Marine Nature Reserve.
Tasmanian Interim Planning Scheme Zone Boundaries
공공데이터포털
Planning schemes regulate new use and development of land. They have two parts; - a document that sets out the requirements or standards for use and development, and - maps indicating where the requirements or standards apply. The Tasmanian Interim Planning Scheme Zone Boundaries dataset is an online mapping resource incorporating all zones boundary mapping within the state where interim schemes remain in effect. The boundaries of the majority of planning scheme zones are aligned with land parcel boundaries or road centrelines. Where they deviate, boundaries are represented by polylines attributed with a description of the features that define their location.
