Vicmap Planning History is the map data representing the land use zone and overlay controls for all Victorian planning schemes. Planning schemes cover the 79 local government areas and three other areas in Victoria. Planning schemes are regularly amended, and Vicmap Planning is continually updated to reflect the official planning scheme at any time. Datasets in the series are listed below. Vicmap Property consists of data representing Victoria's land parcels and properties and is used extensively in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) by the public and private sectors. Vicmap Property Content includes · Parcel and Property Polygon views; · Parcel and Property Identifiers - parcel descriptors (including Standard Parcel Identifiers (SPI)), Council reference numbers; · Registered and proposed (All proposals entered prior to July 2002 are non-polygonal and all entered post July 2002 are polygonised) parcels; · Crown and Freehold land differentiation; · Cadastral Road Casements; · Easements (Note: all new easements are being captured for the whole State. Previously, only easements in the metropolitan area were captured. There is no current program to review and capture missing easements); · Unique Feature Identifiers, date stamps and data quality information. Part of the VLAT dataset series. This dataset plays a key role in the management of Victoria's Crown land. It is being created (June 2003 - Feb 2004) from migrating LCMP layers into the Vicmap structure. At this stage it does not cover Metropolitan Melbourne. The layer provides information about Crown Roads. This dataset s a raw superset of GOV_ROAD_POLYGON. It shows the current and retired states of each feature instance. It supports feature versioning (UFI_RETIRED) and enables feature edting chaining (UFI_OLD). The dataset is continually maintained, obtaining maintenance from authoritative sources within State Government. VLAT_GOV_ROAD_POLYGON is a polygon layer depicting Government Roads including roads as laid out on Parish Plans & proclaimed as Road in Government Gazettes. The Vicmap Parcel and VM_CROWN_SIMPLE layer is also recording "G" CROWN_STATUS Parcels that are Government Roads parcelled by the Crown Land Registry unit.

Cadastral Area Boundary is a line layer belonging to VLAT and consists of data representing Victoria's land parcels and properties and is used extensively in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) by the public and private sectors. This dataset s a raw superset of VMPROP_CAD_AREA_BDY. It shows the current and retired state of each feature instance. It supports feature versioning (UFI_RETIRED) and enables feature edting chaining (UFI_OLD). This layer should be used in conjuction with the other layers and aspatial tables that make up VLAT.
