This dataset details the average tenure in months of active male and female Victoria SES volunteers relevant to the regions in which they serve. The data used in this dataset is sourced from Victoria SES' Resource Management System (RMS) and is updated as required by Victoria SES Units. There are six regions operated by Victoria SES: Central (predominantly metropolitan), East, Mid-West, North East, North West and South West. A volunteers' tenure is measured from the date membership is granted to the date they cease being a member. This data does not account for periods where a volunteer has left the organisation but then re-joined.

This dataset details the number of new volunteers who have joined the Victoria SES during the financial year, 2013 - 2014. Totals are arranged according to the Victoria SES region in which they joined. The figures preclude multiple crew attendances at any one incident.

Total numbers of Victoria SES members who attended training in key courses provided by Victoria SES. These key courses include: General Rescue, Road Rescue Training, AIIMS - Introduction to AIIMS Training, AIIMS - Crew Leader Training, AIIMS - Sector Division Command Training, Storm and Water Training, Incident Management Team Training and Health and Safety Training. Total numbers are based on annual figures. Figures are a count of all attendance at regional and state run courses. Each column counts participants who have been listed as attending during that particular financial year. Cancelled and unit delivered course have not been included. Training staff update attendance details as soon as possible, but in some circumstances there can be a delay. This data is entered into Victoria SES' OIMS TRAIN database by training staff.
