The Western Australian Petroleum Releases (WAPRELEASE) digital data set contains any current Gazetted Petroleum release areas pertinent to the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act2006 (OPPGSA67), Petroleum Submerged Lands Act1982 (PSLA82) and Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Resources Act 1967 (PGERA67). This dataset was formally known as WA Petroleum Releases (DMP-015)

The WA Petroleum Title (formerly WAPMAP) digital data set contains all granted Petroleum Titles. The data is held in GDA94 latitude and longitude coordinates. This dataset was formally known as WA Petroleum Titles (DMP-017)

WAP_STATE_PIPE_POLYGON_PRD_VW digital dataset contains current West Australian State Petroleum and Gas Pipelines Polygons pertinent to the Petroleum Submerged Lands Act 1982 (PSLA82) and Petroleum Pipelines Act 1969 (PPA69). The data is held in GDA94 latitude and longitude coordinates. The dataset is also available in GDA2020 This dataset was formally known as WA Petroleum Pipelines (WAPPIPE) (DMP-005)

This dataset is a reference system for petroleum exploration 2D seismic surveys conducted in Western Australia. NOTE: Since 1 January 2012 the offshore (commonwealth water) have been managed by NOPTA in collaboration with Geoscience Australia and delivered through NOPIMS system. The WA State 2D seismic surveys are updated on a regular basis.

Purpose: Management of Groundwater resources in Western Australia. Groundwater Resources stored in WRIMS (Water Resource Information Management System). The intersection of groundwater Subareas with Aquifer boundaries (usually) define groundwater Resources, which are the units used by the DWER to manage environmentally sustainable limits of extraction for groundwater resources. For the purposes of groundwater resource management, the state of Western Australia is divided into groundwater areas proclaimed under the Rights in Water and Irrigation Act. These groundwater areas are further subdivided into groundwater subareas. The subareas are not proclaimed under the Rights in Water and Irrigation Act, but are administrative boundaries used to manage the extraction and licensing of groundwater resources. Groundwater Resources in this dataset are not always the intersection of a Subarea with an Aquifer. Additionally, the Groundwater Areas stored in WRIMS do not accurately reflect the official gazetted Groundwater Area boundaries. A program is currently underway (Sept 2005) to review both Groundwater Resource and Groundwater area boundaries. Please contact the data steward for more information.
