Australian Bathymetry and Topography WMS
공공데이터포털
The Australian Bathymetry and Topography web service includes the topography of Australia and the bathymetry of the adjoining Australian Exclusive Economic Zone. The area selected does not include data from Australia's marine jurisdiction offshore from the Territory of Heard and McDonald Islands and the Australian Antarctic Territory. The 2009 bathymetry data were compiled by Geoscience Australia from multibeam and single beam data, and along with the topography (onshore) data, was derived from multiple sources. As per the 2005 grid, the 0.0025 dd resolution is only supported where direct bathymetric observations are sufficiently dense (e.g. where swath bathymetry data or digitised chart data exist) (Webster and Petkovic, 2005). In areas where no sounding data are available (in waters off the Australian shelf), the grid is based on the 2 arc minute ETOPO (Smith and Sandwell, 1997) and 1 arc minute ETOPO (Amante and Eakins, 2008) satellite derived bathymetry. The topographic data (onshore data) is based on the revised Australian 0.0025dd topography grid (Geoscience Australia, 2008), the 0.0025dd New Zealand topography grid (Geographx, 2008) and the 90m SRTM DEM (Jarvis et al, 2008).

AusSeabed Bathymetry Survey Acquisitions Coverage Database
공공데이터포털
The AusSeabed Bathymetry Survey Acquisitions Coverage database contains polygon extents of bathymetry data acquisitions along with identifying attributes and contact details where the data is not held by Geoscience Australia. It is an important scientific resource that identifies data spanning coastal, continental shelf and deep sea locations. This dataset is live and will continue to be augmented as coverage details are supplied from AusSeabed collaborators who wish to share their knowledge of data availability to the broader marine community. The database is updated regularly and is made available via the AusSeabed Marine Data Portal using OGC compliant web services. Surveys/Data Acquisitions have been conducted by a wide range of organisations and countries, both inside and outside Australia's marine jurisdiction, using multiple systems and for various applications. Data coverages are published where the polygon extents intersects with Australia's marine jurisdiction, including the Australian Antarctic Territory. Each polygon in the layer contains metadata describing survey details. Note that polygons may not be representative of the true survey extent due to the data gridding process. For a list of source data contributions see Technical Lineage. Please note that this public coverage does not include information that has been provided to Geoscience Australia under a Restricted and Exclusive license. However, the additional restricted information is used during the computation of Australian marine jurisdiction’s Percent Mapped assessment. Please contact us at ausseabed@ga.gov.au if you wish to contribute coverage information to the database.
Geoscience Australia Bathymetry Compilations
공공데이터포털
This dataset represents the current extent of bathymetry compilation products delivered by Geoscience Australia as of June 2019. Compilation products have been generated from numerous data sources including survey data, lidar, interpolation and other depth data. Each polygon shows the extent of the compilation dataset, and attributes contain information regarding data sources, product details and access methods. Contributing individual survey data can be found in the AusSeabed Bathymetry Holdings dataset.
South-west Corner Marine Park survey – bathymetry (GA-4858)
공공데이터포털
This resource includes bathymetry data for South-west Corner Marine Park collected by Geoscience Australia during the periods 9 – 12 March 2020 and 27 January – 16 February 2021 on the charter vessel Santosha. The survey was undertaken as a collaborative project with the University of Western Australia, the University of Tasmania and the Australian Centre for Field Robotics (University of Sydney), and funded through the National Environmental Science Program Marine Biodiversity Hub, with co-investment by all partners and the Director of National Parks. The purpose of the project was to build baseline information for benthic habitats on the continental shelf in the marine park that will support ongoing environmental monitoring within the South-West Marine Park Network as part of the 10-year management plan (2018-2028). Data acquisition for the project included multibeam bathymetry and backscatter for an area covering 330 km^2 (excluding transit) offshore from Cape Naturaliste to Cape Leeuwin coast, with underwater imagery of benthic communities and demersal fish collected by the University of Western Australia on separate field deployments. This bathymetry dataset contains a 5 m resolution 32-bit geotiff file of the survey area produced from the processed Kongsberg EM2040C multibeam sonar system using CARIS HIPS and SIPS software. For further information see: Giraldo-Ospina, A. et al., 2021. South-west Corner Marine Park Post Survey Report. Report to the National Environmental Science Program, Marine Biodiversity Hub. This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.
H02343: NOS Hydrographic Survey
공공데이터포털
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has the statutory mandate to collect hydrographic data in support of nautical chart compilation for safe navigation and to provide background data for engineers, scientific, and other commercial and industrial activities. Hydrographic survey data primarily consist of water depths, but may also include features (e.g. rocks, wrecks), navigation aids, shoreline identification, and bottom type information. NOAA is responsible for archiving and distributing the source data as described in this metadata record.
Marine Survey - Geomorphology WMS
공공데이터포털
The Marine Survey Geomorphology Web Map Service contains the local scale (1:10 000) interpreted geomorphology maps available for download on Geoscience Australia's website. These interpreted geomorphology maps have been produced for numerous marine survey programs conducted in Australian mainland and Antarctic waters by both Geoscience Australia and our collaborators. Layers are grouped by survey or region and where available include both the Geoscience Australia and vessel survey identification numbers that contributed to each dataset.
Bathymetry Compilation for Proposed Marine Protected Areas in Eastern Antarctica Report
공공데이터포털
GA Record detailing the bathymetry compilation put together by Geoscience Australia in agreement with the Australian Antarctic Division. The dataset was used in support of Australia's contribution to the development of the Representative System of Marine Protected Areas (RSMPA) at the CCAMLR Workshop on Marine Protected Areas, held in Brest, France in August 2011.
