Agricultural Major Land Practices Groups of the Canadian Prairies
The “Agricultural Major Land Practices Groups of the Canadian Prairies” dataset lays out the areas of the 5 Major Land Practices Groups of the agricultural portions of the Canadian Prairies. They are represented by vector polygons amalgamated (dissolved) from the Version 1.9 SLC polygons sharing common water resources, land use and farming practices as developed in the “Agricultural Land Practices Groups of the Canadian Prairies by SLC Polygon” of this series. The dataset is based upon selected attributes from the Soil Landscapes of Canada (SLC) and the 1996 Census of Agriculture. Typical attributes including: land in pasture, land in summerfallow, crop mixture, farm size and the level of chemical and fertilizer inputs.

Agricultural Land Practices Groups of the Canadian Prairies
공공데이터포털
The “Agricultural Land Practices Groups of the Canadian Prairies” dataset lays out the areas of the 13 Land Practices Groups of the agricultural portions of the Canadian Prairies.
Prairie Agricultural Landscapes
공공데이터포털
The “Prairie Agricultural Landscapes (PAL)” datasets identify areas of the agricultural portions of the Canadian Prairies with similar land and water resources, land use and farming practices. They are represented by vector polygons. Based on selected attributes from the Soil Landscapes of Canada (SLC) and the 1996 Census of Agriculture, the Prairies were classified into 13 (thirteen) classes of Land Practices Group and five (5) Major Land Practices Groups. Typical attributes used to define the Land Practice Groups include: land in pasture, land in summerfallow, crop mixture, farm size and the level of chemical and fertilizer inputs. The five (5) Major Groups were devised to help better understand the relationships between the groups.
Field Crop Reporting Series by Small Area Data Region
공공데이터포털
Small area data on field crops show seeded and harvested area, yield and production figures for most principal field crops and some special crops in Canada, at the census agricultural region level (except for Quebec, where small areas are defined by provincial administrative boundaries). The provinces covered are British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec. The data are available in metric and imperial units of measure, for periods ranging from 1976 to 2023. The data are derived from the results of the November Farm Survey of the preceding year, of which the production estimates were only expressed at the provincial level in early December.
Land Management Practice (Cropping History) in the Central West-Lachlan CMA regions (winter 2008 - summer 2009)
공공데이터포털
Land Management Practices (including cropping history) in the Central West and Lachlan Catchment Management Authority (CMA) areas for the period Winter 2008 - Summer 2009). This dataset consists of a GIS base layer of paddock scale objects attributed with various landcover/land management types including cropping history for two epochs, Winter 2008 and summer 2009.; ; REPORT: Fisher, A, Turner & Mirbagheri, M. (2009). Mapping candidate native non-woody extent and condition in the Central West-Lachlan CMA regions (winter 2008 - summer 2009). Draft report, Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water.; ; Data stored as 16 separate map tiles, based on 1:250K map series (NSW). Due to large storage size, data are supplied as three separate "zones" within the Central West/Lachlan CMAs:; Zone West includes Booligal, Cargelligo, Cootamundra, Cobar, Hay, Ivanhoe, Narrandera & Nymagee map tiles.; Zone Central includes Forbes, Narromine, Nyngan & Walgett; Zone East includes Bathurst, Dubbo, Gilgandra, Goulburn, Narrabri, Singleton, Sydney & Tamworth.; ; The mapping process involved three main steps: 1) segmentation of Spot5 2.5m resolution imagery into paddock scales objects using 'Definiens' software; 2) attributing the polygons with data derived from landsat raster data, and; 3) classifying the polygons into landcover categories based on the attribute data.
