A licence grants permission to do something which without the licence would not be allowable. Land Management Branch licences typically permit the construction and maintenance of power, telephone, water or sewer utilities on Commissioner's land. Licences of occupation are linear in nature and often extend long distances, hence the requirement for a separate feature class. CryoGeographic Consulting, in association with Palmer Environmental Consulting Group Inc., provided Yukon Energy, Mines and Resources and Yukon Environment with the results of the mapping and classification of wetlands and adjacent upland habitat in the Indian River valley and its major tributaries. This report and its accompanying map set have been updated to reflect study area expansion and additional field reconnaissance completed in the summer of 2017. Interpretation of shallow water wetlands within disturbed landscapes was completed by Ducks Unlimited Canada and incorporated. Five classes of wetlands are distinguished - bogs, fens, swamps, marshes and shallow water - based on field investigations and interpretation of high-resolution aerial photography and satellite imagery. Land where special permission must be obtained for Geothermal Energy Operations This layer was developed for land classification for the Geothermal Energy Resurces Act 2005 This layer is derived mostly from selections from Public Land Management PLM25. Other sources of data include PLM100_V_MMT_WILDLIFE_MGMT for wildlife reserves, PLM100_V_MMT_HERITAGE_RIVER for heritage rivers, PLM100_V_MMT_NATRL_CATCHMENT for natural catchemnt area , PLM100_V_MMT_REFERENCE_AREAS for reference areas, PLM100_V_MMT_WILDERNESS_ZONE for wilderness zones and VEACREC25_POLYGON for water authority land.
