Alberta Diamond Inclusion Dataset
This Alberta diamond inclusion dataset includes electron microprobe analyses of garnet, clinopyroxene, olivine, ferropericlase and rutile inclusions from diamonds sampled by the Buffalo Head Hills kimberlite field. The data are compiled from Davies et al. (2004) and Banas (2006). Diamond inclusions are of particular research interest in diamond exploration and mantle petrology because they provide direct information about the chemical composition of upper and lower mantle and about the petrogenetic sources of diamonds in a given area/deposit.

Alberta Diamond Occurrences Dataset
공공데이터포털
The first clue to the presence of possible diamond-bearing source rocks in northern Alberta was the discovery of a perfect octahedral diamond, estimated at about 0.83 carats in weight, by farm worker Einar Opdahl during 1958 in the Evansburg area of west-central Alberta. Since the Opdahl diamond, no new diamond finds were reported in northern Alberta until the 1990s, when several occurrences of alluvial diamond and diamondiferous kimberlite were discovered.
Alberta Kimberlite Xenocryst Dataset
공공데이터포털
This kimberlite xenocryst dataset includes the electronic microprobe data from silicate and oxide xenocryst minerals from various ultrabasic to kimberlite rock occurrences in the northern Alberta kimberlite province. These data, which total 4,285 analyses, include 897 garnet 533 clinopyroxene 791 olivine 275 phlogopite 870 spinel/chromite 919 ilmenite
Compilation of Alberta Geological Survey Borehole Data (tabular data, tab delimited format)
공공데이터포털
Since its inception in 1920, the Alberta Geological Survey (AGS) has drilled several thousand boreholes across the province. Most were drilled only into the unconsolidated sediments overlying the top of bedrock. In 2010, AGS staff began a project to systematically compile all of the borehole log information into a database. This Digital Data product and its companion Open File Report, OFR 2014-06 are the interim results of this initiative. The dataset comprises three tables: Sources.txt, Boreholes.txt and Intervals.txt, as well as metadata. The Sources table gives summary information about the AGS project for which each borehole was drilled. The Boreholes table gives summary information about each borehole, such as location, drilling method, date, and total depth of the hole. The Intervals table gives descriptive geological information about each distinct geological horizon encountered in the borehole, including lithology and colour of the material. The tables have primary keys on them so they may be loaded into a relational database, GIS system, or geological modelling program. This dataset is an interim release of 266 boreholes.
Bedrock Geology of Alberta (GIS data)
공공데이터포털
This data set comprises the bedrock geology of Alberta in geographic information systems (GIS) format. The GIS coverage was originally prepared by digitizing Map 027, 1972, Alberta Geological Survey, Alberta Research Council. Revisions since 1972 have incorporated new mapping data from work by the Alberta Geological Survey and the Geological Survey of Canada, and by the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists through the contribution of its membership to the Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. The coverage shows the formation and geologic age of the bedrock subcrop, as well as the nature of the contacts between formations. GIS files are distributed as shapefiles of bedrock polygons (geol_py_ll.shp), bedrock line features (bdrk_ln_ll.shp), and bedrock contacts (geol_ln_ll.shp).
Elk Point Isopach (GIS data, line features)
공공데이터포털
The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 10 of the Atlas, Devonian Elk Point Group of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 3, Elk Point Isopach. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.

Alberta industrial mineral deposits and occurrences (GIS data, point features)
공공데이터포털
The AMDO (Alberta Mineral Deposits and Occurrences) application was created by the Minerals and Coal Geoscience Section of the Alberta Geological Survey as a database for mineral deposits in Alberta in the early 1990s. It was originally released as Open File Report OFR 1991-17. Industrial minerals from that data source have been extracted into Microsoft Access, their locations refined or corrected and presented in GIS format.
