Geotechnical report point
Geotechnical reports are indexed within a database maintained by HPW-TEB Geotechnical Unit. Meta data associated to each geotechnical report are captured within this indexing table, including report reference number, title, author, highway and km start and end. The table has been modified to include columns that aid in georeferencing geotechnical reports. Added columns include route ID, Latitude, and Longitude. Transportation Engineering Branch is continually improving its geographical information systems with a major focus on creating linear referencing routes within ArcGIS. Georeferencing geotechnical reports will utilize the linear referencing routes in creating points and line shape files by referencing the highway number and km points or ranges as defined within the indexing table. Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Geotechnical borehole point
공공데이터포털
Geotechnical data comes from investigations performed by geotechnical engineers to obtain information on the physical properties of soil and rock underlying a site for proposed structures. The investigations include surface exploration and subsurface exploration of a site. In addition, site investigations will often include subsurface sampling and laboratory testing of the soil samples retrieved. The digging of test pits and trenching may also be used to learn about soil conditions at depth. Geotechnical data is relevant to our permafrost database as it contains logs of ice encountered at various depths. Yukon Geological Survey has been compiling geotechnical data from various organizations and branches. The main datasets being compiled are the following: Northern Climate Exchange Community Services, Land Branch Energy Mines and Resources, Abandoned Mines Transportation Engineering Branch Alaska Highway Borehole Database Agriculture soil profiles Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Temperature sensor point
공공데이터포털
Temperature data (typically in time series format) comes from investigations performed by government agencies, geotechnical engineers and consultants, academics, and others to obtain information on the air or ground thermal conditions of a site. Ground temperature investigations generally include the installation of temperature sensors at a variety of depth intervals, and data loggers which record the temperatures at regular time intervals ( e.g., hourly or daily) for varying time periods ranging from one-time or occasional measurements to multi-year monitoring. They also often involve the installation or monitoring of above-ground weather stations. Where ground temperature data characterizes the ground thermal regime, weather data allows for an understanding of the relationship between the ground thermal regime and local weather. Geothermal Boreholes
공공데이터포털
The BORHOLES layer represents the compilation of available data from various boreholes throughout the Yukon and near the Yukon border. This data set includes oil and gas exploration wells, mineral exploration boreholes, water supply wells and environmental monitoring well. The data points include information on the borehole location, purpose, status, depth, temperature data, water flow and chemistry data where available along with references where further detailed information may be available.

Bedrock geology
공공데이터포털
Yukon Bedrock Geology Map This update of the Yukon bedrock geology map builds upon the previous compilation by Gordey and Makepeace (1999, 2001). It includes new, detailed bedrock geology maps and regional compilations that have been published by the Yukon Geological Survey and the Geological Survey of Canada between 1999 and 2015, as well as some recent thesis works. A few of these maps were partially integrated into the digital dataset by Gordey and Makepeace (2003), but only as overlay to the 1999 compilation. A number of errors and omissions from the 1999 compilation of Gordey and Makepeace were also noted and corrected during compilation of this version of the map. The Yukon bedrock geology GIS dataset is regularly updated and can be downloaded from the Yukon Geological Survey ' s website: [https://yukon.ca/en/science-and-natural-resources/geology](https://yukon.ca/en/science-and-natural-resources/geology) . Users are advised to consult the website regularly to ensure they are working with the latest version of the geodatabase or shape files. This update of the GIS dataset includes an expanded attribute structure (compared to the 1999 dataset) that facilitates searching of the geodatabase. This dataset requires the gscGeology font in order to properly label the bedrock polygons. This font file is packaged with the dataset when downloaded from [https://yukon.ca/maps](https://yukon.ca/maps) or [https://yukon.ca/en/science-and-natural-resources/geology](https://yukon.ca/en/science-and-natural-resources/geology) . The Yukon Geological Survey aims to provide users with the best available geoscience data for Yukon. Any revisions or additional geological information known to the user would be welcomed by the Yukon Geological Survey.
