Gridded Soil Landscapes of Canada
This dataset is a rasterized version of the Soil Landscapes of Canada (SLC) dataset. Soil attributes in this dataset have been collated from SLC map polygons and follow the GlobalSoilMap.net standards and specifications at specified depth increments extending over the agricultural portion of Canada. Weighted averages of soil attribute properties are generated from existing soil horizon information to conform to recognized fixed depth increments. Soil attribute weighted means are calculated by using all the soil components based on their areal extent within each SLC polygon. The weighted mean averages of attributes are spatially represented by the grid along with the lowest and highest attribute values found within each polygon.

Soils of Canada, Derived
공공데이터포털
The “Soils of Canada, Derived” national scale thematic datasets display the distribution and areal extent of soil attributes such as drainage, texture of parent material, kind of material, and classification of soils in terms of provincial Detailed Soil Surveys (DDS) polygons, Soil Landscape Polygons (SLCs), Soil Order and Great Group. The relief and associated slopes of the Canadian landscape are depicted on the local surface form thematic dataset. The purpose of the “Soils of Canada, Derived” series is to facilitate the cartographic display and basic queries of the Soil Landscapes of Canada at a national scale. For more detailed or sophisticated analysis, users should investigate the full “Soil Landscapes of Canada” product.
Soil Landscapes of Canada Version 3.2
공공데이터포털
The “Soil Landscapes of Canada (SLC) Version 3.2” dataset series provides a set of geo-referenced soil areas (polygons) that are linked to attribute data found in the associated Component Table (CMP), Component Rating Table (CRT), Soil Names Table (SNT), Soil Layer Table (SLT), Landscape Segmentation Table (LST), Landform Extent Table (LET), Landform Definition Table and Ecological Framework Table (EFT). Together, these datasets describe the spatial distribution of soils and associated landscapes for the agricultural areas of Canada. However, some provinces (Alberta, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island) contain CMP, SNT and SLT data for the entire province (that is, beyond the agricultural areas). This version is complemented by the previous SLC version 2.2, which covers the entire country.
Soil Landscapes of Canada Version 2.2
공공데이터포털
The “Soil Landscapes of Canada (SLC) Version 2.2” dataset series provides a set of geo-referenced soil areas (polygons) that are linked to attribute data found in the associated Component Table (CMP), Landscape Table (LAT), Carbon Layer Table (CLYR), and Dom/Sub File (DOM_SUB). Together, these datasets describe the spatial distribution of soils and associated landscapes for Canada.
Ontario Detailed Soil Survey
공공데이터포털
The Ontario Detailed Soil Survey dataset series is at a scale of 1: 50 000 and consists of geo-referenced soil polygons with linkages to attribute data found in the associated Component File (CMP), Soil Names File (SNF) and Soil Layer File (SLF). Together, these datasets describe the spatial distribution of soils and associated landscapes for nearly all agricultural areas in southern Ontario.
Saskatchewan Detailed Soil Survey
공공데이터포털
The Saskatchewan Detailed Soil Survey dataset series at a scale of 1:100 000 consists of geo-referenced soil polygons with linkages to attribute data found in the associated Component File (CMP), Soil Names File (SNF) and Soil Layer File (SLF). Together, these datasets describe the spatial distribution of soils and associated landscapes for nearly all agricultural areas in southern Saskatchewan.

This data product is currently under evaluation and review. It may contain inaccuracies or be subject to change. Users should exercise caution and discretion when interpreting or relying on this information. The government assumes no liability for any errors or decisions based on this preliminary data. For more details, please see the Government of Canada's Open Commons license (https://open.canada.ca/en/open-government-licence-canada). The Canadian Soil Information Service has developed a detailed dataset of Canada's soils and associated properties using advanced machine learning techniques. The Soil Landscape Grids of Canada is produced using a combination of historical and current data from both soil sampling and remote sensing. The machine learning model is trained using over 10,000 pedon locations from across Canada as well as 70 covariate datasets. This new dataset is pivotal in addressing the gaps left by legacy soil surveys and facilitates more comprehensive assessments nationwide. As new data becomes available and machine learning techniques advance, this information can be updated much faster than with traditional soil surveying methods.
Manitoba Detailed Soil Survey
공공데이터포털
The Manitoba Detailed Soil Survey dataset series at a scale of 1:100 000 consists of geo-referenced soil polygons with linkages to attribute data found in the associated Component File (CMP), Soil Names File (SNF) and Soil Layer File (SLF). Together, these datasets describe the spatial distribution of soils and associated landscapes for nearly all agricultural areas in southern Manitoba, as well as some parts of northern and eastern Manitoba.
Global Data Set of Derived Soil Properties, 0.5-Degree Grid (ISRIC-WISE)
공공데이터포털
The World Inventory of Soil Emission Potentials (WISE) database was used to generate a series of uniform data sets of derived soil properties for each of the 106 soil units considered in the Soil Map of the World. These data sets were then used to generate GIS raster image files for the following variables: total available water capacity (mm water per 1 m soil depth); soil organic carbon density (kg C/m**2 for 0-30cm depth range); soil organic carbon density (kg C/m**2 for 0-100cm depth range); soil carbonate carbon density (kg C/m**2 for 0-100cm depth range); soil pH (0-30 cm depth range); and soil pH (30-100 cm depth range).
Soil Texture by Ecodistrict
공공데이터포털
The National Ecological Framework for Canada's "Soil Texture by Ecodistrict” dataset contains tables that provide soil texture information within the ecodistrict framework polygon. It provides soil texture codes and their English and French language descriptions as well as the percentage of the polygon that the component occupies. Soil texture indicates the relative proportions of the various soil separates (sand, silt, clay) as described by classes of texture. Soil separates are mineral particles, 2.0 mm in diameter and include: gravel 0.2 -7.5 cm and cobbles 7.5-25.0 cm. There are 12 texture group classes definitions and one class definition for Not Applicable (which indicates, for example, water, ice or urban areas).
ISLSCP II Global Gridded Soil Characteristics
공공데이터포털
This data set provides gridded data for selected soil parameters derived from data and methods developed by the Global Soil Data Task, an international collaborative project with the objective of making accurate and appropriate data relating to soil properties accessible to the global change research community. The task was coordinated by the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (IGBP-DIS). The data in this data set were produced by the International Satellite Land-Surface Climatology Project, Initiative II (ISLSCP II) staff from data obtained from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory Distributed Active Archive Center (ORNL DAAC, http://daac.ornl.gov/). See the related data sets section below. Two-dimensional gridded maps of selected soil parameters, including soil texture, at a 1.0 by 1.0 degree spatial resolution and for two soil depths are provided. All data layers have been adjusted to match the ISLSCP II land/water mask. There are 36 data files with this data set.
