Agri-Environmental Indicators (AEI)
The Agri-Environmental Indicator (AEI) dataset series provides information that was created using indicators that assess the environmental impact of agricultural activities. These agri-environmental indicators integrate information on soils, climate and land surface features with statistics on land use and crop and livestock management practices. The datasets provide valuable, location-specific information on the overall environmental risks and conditions in agriculture across Canada and how these change over time. This dataset series collects AEI data that is related to geographic features and can be represented on a map. Other types of AEI data are not included. The datasets can be organized into the following major groups: • Farm land management • Soil health • Water quality • Air quality • Food and beverage industry (not included) Farm land management datasets: • Soil cover • Wildlife habitat • Farm land management (not included) Soil health datasets: • Soil erosion • Soil organic matter • Trace elements • Soil salinity Water quality datasets: • Nitrogen • Phosphorus • Coliforms • Pesticides Air quality datasets: • Greenhouse Gases • Ammonia • Particulate Matter
연관 데이터
Agri-Environmental Indicator – Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Budget
공공데이터포털
The Agri-Environmental Indicator Agricultural Greenhouse gas Budget datasets provide estimated net greenhouse gas emissions due to agricultural activities per hectare of Soil Landscapes of Canada agricultural areas. Products in this data series present results for predefined areas as defined by the Soil Landscapes of Canada (SLC v.3.2) data series, uniquely identified by SOIL_LANDSCAPE_ID values.
Agri-Environmental Indicator – Particulate Matter
공공데이터포털
The Agri-Environmental Indicator Particulate Matter dataset provides an estimated net emissions of particulate matter from agricultural lands.
Agri-Environmental Indicator – Soil Cover Days
공공데이터포털
The Agri-Environmental Indicator Soil Cover Days dataset provides a calculation of the amount of time each year that the soil of Canada agricultural lands is covered by a crop, crop residues on its surface, or snow.
Agri-Environmental Indicator – Risk of Soil Erosion
공공데이터포털
The Agri-Environmental Indicator Soil Erosion Risk dataset provides the estimated risk of soil loss from the combined effects of wind, water, and tillage for Soil Landscapes of Canada agricultural areas for each year since 1981 to 2021.
Agri-Environmental Indicator – Risk of Water Contamination by Pesticides
공공데이터포털
The Agri-Environmental Indicator Risk of Water Contamination by Pesticides dataset reports the annual and semi-decadal status of pesticide transport to surface water, the concentration of pesticide in ground water, and the risk of water contamination by pesticide. Products in this data series present results for predefined areas as defined by the Soil Landscapes of Canada (SLC v.3.2) data series, uniquely identified by SOIL_LANDSCAPE_ID values.
Agri-Environmental Indicator – Risk of Water Contamination by Phosphorus
공공데이터포털
The Agri-Environmental Indicator of Risk of Water Contamination by Phosphorus dataset estimates the relative risk of phosphorus loss from Soil Landscapes of Canada agricultural areas to surface water. The data series for this indicator consists of four (4) datasets: Annual P-Balance, Soil-P-Source, Edge of Field and IROWC-P. Products in this data series present results for predefined areas as defined by the Soil Landscapes of Canada (SLC v.3.2) data series, uniquely identified by SOIL_LANDSCAPE_ID values.
Earth Observation Assessment (EOA) 2023 Tableau Dashboard Data
공공데이터포털
The Earth Observation Assessment (EOA) is a Congressionally-directed periodic evaluation of the nation's civil Earth observation portfolio. This portfolio comprises both remote and in-situ sensors, operated by both the public and the private sector. The Earth Observation Assessment measures the effectiveness of the civil Earth observation system in meeting federal government objectives identified as Societal Benefit Areas (SBA). The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) charters the U.S. Group on Earth Observations (USGEO) as a subcommittee of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Committee on Environment. USGEO conducts the Earth Observation Assessment to inform the regularly-updated National Plan for Civil Earth Observations, which serves to coordinate the development and support of the Earth observation enterprise across all sectors. This is the data that supports the EOA 2023 Tableau Dashboard on the USGEO website.
Agri-Environmental Indicator – Wildlife Habitat Capacity
공공데이터포털
Wildlife habitat capacity is the extent and quality of habitat that can support a diversity of species. When we convert wilderness to agricultural land we lose a great deal of wildlife habitat capacity. However, we can manage agricultural land to regain some of this capacity. Agricultural land includes not only fields for food production but also other types of land cover. Wooded areas, wetlands, shoreline areas and natural pastures on agricultural land are important habitats for wildlife. The indicator shows how well wildlife habitat is maintained for feeding and reproduction while producing the food we need. Products in this data series present results for predefined areas as defined by the Soil Landscapes of Canada (SLC v.3.2) data series, uniquely identified by SOIL_LANDSCAPE_ID values. Data is provided for the following years: 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2020. The annual results respect provincial boundaries which can be of use when analyzing results per province.
