County Health Status Profiles is an annually published report for the State of California by the California Department of Public Health in collaboration with the California Conference of Local Health Officers. Health indicators are measured for 58 counties and California statewide that can be directly compared to national standards and populations of similar composition. Where available, the measurements are ranked and compared with target rates established for Healthy People National Objectives. For tables where the health indicator denominator and numerator are derived from the same data source, the denominator excludes records for which the health indicator data is missing and unable to be imputed. This dataset contains information on the Family Planning, Access, Care, and Treatment (Family PACT) Program (https://www.dhcs.ca.gov/services/ofp/Pages/OfficeofFamilyPlanning.aspx) providers. The data comes from the Provider Master File (PMF) in the Management Information System/Decision Support System (MIS/DSS) data warehouse, which is maintained by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), Provider Enrollment Division, and from the DHCS, Office of Family Planning (OFP), which creates its own production files/datasets. This dataset includes the following variables: provider number, name, type, specialty, geographic information, etc.

The L&C Open Data facility beds file is updated monthly. This dataset contains annual hospital inpatient summary data based upon the Patient’s County of Residence. The summary data includes discharge disposition, expected payer, sex, Medicare Severity-Diagnosis Related Group (MS-DRG), Major Diagnostic Categories (MDC), race group, admission source, and type of care.
