This dataset contains water temperature, salinity, and oxygen data taken by CTD and water sampling from NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown in the North Atlantic Ocean. Cruise RB-20-07 in 2020 had the objective to service a number of moored platforms for the MOVE project (Meridional Overturning Variability Experiment). To calibrate and validate the mooring data, CTD casts with salinity and oxygen water samples were collected; these data are reported here. The CTD sensor data have been quality-controlled and adjusted using the water sample data. The raw CTD data are available as separate files. Data are in NetCDF.

This dataset contains water temperature, salinity, and other parameters collected by CTD from NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown in the north Pacific Ocean off California. Cruise RB-21-02 in June 2021 had the objective to service moorings for the CCE (California Current Ecosystem) project, as well as the CORC (Consortium on the Ocean's Role in Climate) project. To calibrate and validate the mooring data, CTD casts with water samples were done. The CTD data are reported here. The CTD data have been quality-controlled and adjusted using the water sample data. Additional cruise data files are available through the NOAA Rolling Deck to Repository program (R2R, see references under 'Documentation' bullet on this dataset landing page), and the water sample data are published separately through the Ocean Carbon and Acidification Data Portal at NCEI (also in references). The raw instrument data (*.xmlcon and *.hex files from the software by Sea-Bird Scientific) are also available. Processed data are in NetCDF and also in CNV format.

This dataset contains sea water property (profile) data taken by Conductivity, Temperature, Depth (CTD) from NOAA Ship Nancy Foster during two merged collaborative fisheries oceanography surveys (described in detail below). Data cover 2016-05-10 to 2016-06-15 period. The vessel's Sea-Bird Electronics (SBE) 911plus CTD system was operated at 119 discrete station locations along the survey track. At each location, the CTD package was lowered from the surface to a predetermined depth, sampling continuously. The CTD was configured with a pressure sensor, dual temperature, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen sensors, a chlorophyll a (chl_a) fluorometer, a colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM) fluorometer, and an altimeter. The sensor package was attached to a frame configured with a 24-bottle water sampler and 10-liter Niskin water sampling bottles. The raw CTD data were post-processed to a final state using the SBE Data Processing Software package (Windows-based, publicly available at www.seabird.com). The specific subroutines applied to the data are outlined in the header of each ascii data file found in the dataset (.cnv files). The header of each file also includes the time and location of the cast. In addition to the ascii data in this data submission, .jpg plots of each CTD cast have also been included. These data were not calibrated to bottle samples and are considered final.
