Digital surfaces and thicknesses of selected hydrogeologic units of the Floridan aquifer system were developed to define an updated hydrogeologic framework as part of the U.S. Geological Survey Groundwater Resources Program. This feature class contains polygons depicting areas of the Floridan aquifer system that may have greater than 10,000 mg/L of TDS or is fresh throughout its thickness to the base of system.

This feature class contains the smoothed polygon feature of the surfical thickness raster where the thickness is greater than 10 feet. The raster was reclassed into a single polygon. Small isolated areas were removed to produce a generalized extent of surficial materials overlying the Floridan aquifer system.
