EOP Settlement colonization and succession patterns of gold coral Kulamana haumeaae in Hawaiian deep coral assemblages
Relational tabular data on corals relevant to the parasitic life history of gold coral. Surveys conducted throughout the Hawaiian Archipelago with attention on colonies of mature gold corals, their bamboo coral hosts and other soft corals. Data was derived from review and seeing video from submersible surveys.

EOP Gold Coral (Gerardia sp.) Growth Measurements
공공데이터포털
Gold coral (Gerardia sp.) trees that were inspected years earlier on Pisces submersible dives were revisited and their change in size measured. The fishery for Gerardia operates using an estimate of average growth at 6mm/yr which would yield adult trees in a span of a few to several decades. In contrast independent radiometric studies suggest that large adult Gerardia colonies could be as much as a millenia old. The intent of this work was to revisit corals that had been inspected earlier and see if any appreciable growth could be seen. If not then the 6mm/yr estimate could be dismissed.

CRED REA Coral Population Parameters at Pearl and Hermes Reef, Northwestern Hawaiiian Islands, 2002
공공데이터포털
Belt transects along 2 consecutively-placed, 25m transect lines were surveyed as part of Rapid Ecological Assessments conducted at 14 sites at Pearl and Hermes Reef in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands in September, 2002 from the NOAA vessel Townsend Cromwell (TC02-07). Raw survey data included genus presence and relative abundance, colony counts and size classes, and visual estimation of percent cover. Either 0.5m or 1m on each side of the transect lines were included in the belt (for a total of 50m2 or 100m2 per site), depending on colony density.
