This dataset provides two tables of blood parasite infection data collected from Emperor Geese (Anser canagicus) on Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, Alaska, 2006-2016. Three genera of blood parasites (Leucocytozoon, Haemoproteus, Plasmodium) were detected by molecular sequencing of a 479 bp fragment of the Cytochrome-b gene. The data provided in the tables are: 1) age, sex, mass, infection status, and NCBI GenBank accession numbers of the DNA sequences obtained from infected blood samples, and 2) encounter history survival data.

The first spreadsheet provides age, sex, location, and blood parasite (hematozoa) infection data for three different genera of blood parasites. Hematozoa DNA, from eider blood samples, was detected by amplifying a 479bp fragment of the Cytochrome-b gene using a nested PCR technique with primers specific for the three target hematozoa genera. Amplicons were sequenced and assigned to genera by the nucleotide BLAST function of the NCBI GenBank database. Infection data are provided as NCBI GenBank accession numbers for DNA sequences obtained from samples that tested positive for infection. Infection data for three different genera of blood parasites are given as are GenBank accession numbers for genetic sequences obtained from positive infections.

These data are in four tables relating to nest visit data of Emperor Geese on the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta in Alaska, 1994-2017. The tables provide: (1) nest visit and hatch success, (2) visit history, (3) capture history, and (4) environmental covariates such as fox and vole abundance and weather data. The code used to conduct the analyses is also included as a text file.

These data are in two tables: 1) table relating to emperor goose nest visit, nest fate, and nest dispersal distances on the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta in Alaska, 2000-2017; 2) table with means and standard deviations for posterior distributions of predicted nest-age and year specific daily nest survival probabilities for emperor geese derived from estimates reported by Thompson et al. (2023) for the Manokinak River study area. These parameters were used as informative prior distributions in the modeling process. The code used to conduct the analyses is also included as a text file.
