Dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), alkalinity, temperature, salinity and other variables collected from discrete samples and profile observations during the R/V Marion Dufresne cruise 35MFCIVA 1 (EXPOCODE 35MF19930123) along the World Ocean Circulation Experiment section P06S in the Indian Ocean from 1993-01-23 to 1993-03-09 (NCEI Accession 0115015)
This dataset consists of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), alkalinity, temperature, salinity and other variables collected from discrete samples and profile observations during the R/V Marion Dufresne cruise 35MFCIVA_1 (EXPOCODE 35MF19930123) along the World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE) section P06S in the Indian Ocean from 1993-01-23 to 1993-03-09. These data include dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), alkalinity, temperature, salinity, nutrients, chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), delta C14 and C14Error. These data were collected by Alain Poisson of Universite Pierre et Marie Curie; Laboratoire de Biogeochimie et Chimie Marines (LBCM) as part of the WOCE_I06S dataset. The World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE) was a major component of the World Climate Research Program with the overall goal of better understanding the ocean's role in climate and climatic changes resulting from both natural and anthropogenic causes. The CO2 survey took advantage of the sampling opportunities provided by the WOCE Hydrographic Program (WHP) cruises during this period between 1990 and 1998. The final collection covers approximately 23,000 stations from 94 WOCE cruises.
