Oceanographic data and ROV dive-related multimedia and information collected during the EX1504L2 (CAPSTONE: NWHI Exploration Leg II) expedition on NOAA Ship OKEANOS EXPLORER in the North Pacific Ocean from 2015-07-31 to 2015-08-22 (NCEI Accession 0131885)
This dataset contains oceanographic data collected in and out of Pearl Harbor. Operations used NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer's deep water mapping system, NOAA's two-body 6000 m remotely operated vehicles (ROV's Deep Discoverer and Seirios), CTD rosette, and the ship's high-bandwidth satellite connection for real-time ship to shore communications. Daytime ROV dives were conducted and included high-resolution visual surveys, instrument recoveries, and limited rock and biologic specimen sampling. This expedition is part of a three-year Campaign of Expeditions (Campaign to Address Pacific monument Science, Technology, and Ocean NEeds or CAPSTONE) focused on exploring the deepwater marine protected areas in the Pacific and around the Northwest Hawaiian Islands.

공공데이터포털
This dataset contains oceanographic data collected in the deep water areas around Wake Island and along transits from Guam to Kwajalein. Operations will use the ship’s deep water mapping systems, NOAA’s two-body 6000 m remotely operated vehicles, CTD rosette, and the ship’s high-bandwidth satellite connection for real-time ship to shore communications. Daytime ROV dives were planned most days, as were a few dedicated mapping transit days. ROV dives included high-resolution visual surveys and limited rock and biologic specimen sampling. Mapping operations were conducted overnight when the ROV was on deck and CTD casts were taken to collect more environmental information at sites of interest. This expedition helped establish a baseline of information in the region to catalyze further exploration, research, and management activities.
Oceanographic data and ROV dive-related multimedia and information collected during the EX1605L1 (CAPSTONE CNMI & Mariana Trench MNM (ROV & Mapping)) expedition on NOAA Ship OKEANOS EXPLORER in the North Pacific Ocean from 2016-04-20 to 2016-05-11 (NCEI Accession 0155916)
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains oceanographic data collected in the waters around Santa Rita, Guam and Saipan. Operations used the ship’s deep water mapping systems, NOAA’s two-body 6000 m remotely operated vehicle, and the ship’s high-bandwidth satellite connection for real-time ship to shore communications. Daytime ROV dives were conducted and included high-resolution visual surveys and limited rock and biologic specimen sampling, as well as CTD casts to collect more environmental information at sites of interest. Exploration operations focused on deep-water areas around the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI) and the Marianas Trench Marine National Monument (MTMNM). This expedition helped establish a baseline of information in the region to catalyze further exploration, research, and management activities.
Oceanographic data and ROV dive-related multimedia and information collected during the EX1402L3 (Gulf of Mexico Mapping and ROV Exploration) expedition on NOAA Ship OKEANOS EXPLORER in the Gulf of Mexico from 2014-04-10 to 2014-05-01 (NCEI Accession 0157088)
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains oceanographic data collected in deep water areas south and southeast of the flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary (FGBNMS), including Keathley Canyon and adjacent parts of the Sigsbee Escarpment, and areas on the West Florida Escarpment southwest of Tampa. Daily ROV dives were conducted with full shore-based science participation. Evening and nighttime mapping and CTD operations were also conducted and focused in depths less than 500 m. Most of the operations, including the transit, were conducted within the 200nm exclusive economic zone (EEZ) maritime boundary of the United States of America.
Oceanographic data and ROV dive-related multimedia and information collected during the EX1202L3 (Gulf of Mexico Exploration) expedition on NOAA Ship OKEANOS EXPLORER in the Gulf of Mexico from 2012-04-11 to 2012-04-29 (NCEI Accession 0087995)
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains oceanographic data collected in the vicinity of the Deepwater Horizon site, Mississippi Canyon, and Green Canyon. Deepwater areas in the vicinity of the Flower Garden Banks were also explored. Daily schedules were split between daytime ROV operations (<4000 m) and nightly multibeam surveys. Nightly operations also included CTD casts. The initial portion of leg III focused on flux experiments using the ROV to ground-truth acoustic data. This expedition identified and explored the diversity of benthic habitats in the region, located and characterized submerged cultural resources and assessed their eligibility for the National Register of Historic Places, and improved capabilities to explore the water column.
