Field properties and results of laboratory analysis of groundwater samples collected from 79 wells in Pike County, Pennsylvania, 1982-2015
Water-quality data for groundwater samples collected by the U.S. Geological Survey from 79 wells in Pike County, Pennsylvania, 1982-2015. Data consist of field properties and results of laboratory analysis for concentrations of inorganic constituents, dissolved gases (methane, ethane and propane), radon-222, gross alpha and beta radioactivity, radium-226, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and methane isotopic composition in groundwater samples. Dataset prepared as part of 2015 study for which 79 wells were sampled and includes comparable results for 18 of the 79 wells that were sampled for previous studies in years 1982, 2007, 2011-13. In 2015, groundwater samples from all 79 wells were analyzed for all constituents except radium-226, VOCs, and methane isotopic composition; samples from 13 wells were analyzed for radium-226, samples from 20 wells were analyzed for VOCs; and samples from 10 wells were analyzed for methane isotopic composition.

Compilation of wells sampled, physical characteristics of wells, links to water-quality data, and quality assurance and quality control data for domestic wells sampled by the U.S. Geological Survey in Potter County, Pennsylvania, April-September 2017
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains the lithologic class and topographic position index information and quality-assurance and quality-control data not available in the online National Water Information System for 47 domestic wells sampled by the U.S. Geological Survey in Potter County, Pennsylvania, April-September 2017. The topographic position index (TPI) for each well location was computed on the basis of a 25-meter digital elevation model (U.S. Geological Survey, 2009) using criteria reported by Llewellyn (2014) to indicate potential classes for topographic setting. The bedrock geologic unit and primary lithology were determined for each well location on the basis of the digital bedrock geologic map of Pennsylvania (Miles and Whitfield, 2001). The quality-assurance and quality-control data (such as blanks or replicates) were collected at a subset of sites to ensure that the data met specific data-quality objectives outlined for the study.

Data compilation for regional synthesis of chemical characteristics of groundwater used for domestic supply in north-east and north-central Pennsylvania
공공데이터포털
Groundwater quality data for 472 domestic well-water samples were retrieved from the USGS National Water Information System (NWIS) database and combined with descriptive information on the sampled well locations. The NWIS data for a sample, collected on the selected date, were averaged into a single record (one per well), and rounded according to USGS protocols. For evaluation and reporting, the water-quality data were further combined with physical attributes and classified by lithology, topographic position, physiographic province, region, redox, and pH (as standalone matrix, one row per well). A second data matrix file incorporating minimum reporting levels for censored and low-reported values (set to 0.99X highest common reporting level) was generated for statistical analysis. The two water-quality matrix files, in comma delimited format (.csv) plus a third file that has complete descriptive information for all the water-quality and physical parameters constitute the primary products of the data release.

Groundwater Levels, Precipitation, and Soil Moisture Data from DE 723 Delaware County Observation Well, Delaware County, Pennsylvania (2022-2024)
공공데이터포털
As part of the U.S. Geological Survey's (USGS) Next Generation Water Observing System (NGWOS) efforts in the Delaware River Basin (DRB), a soil moisture sensing testbed was established at USGS Delaware County Observation Well - DE 723 located in a managed meadow setting in Glen Mills, PA. Traditional in situ soil moisture sensors, a remote sensing cosmic ray neutron sensor (CRNS), and various meteorological sensors were installed to supplement the existing continuous groundwater level time series. This data release includes soil moisture, soil temperature, and precipitation time-series data collected at DE 723 from 1) in situ sensors for measuring soil moisture and soil temperature at varying depths from 5 cm to 100 cm located at four sub-locations (referred to as "pods") in proximity to DE 723 (three remote pods consisting of 3 profiles each and one pod with a single profile co-located at the well); 2) a pressure transducer for measuring groundwater levels from DE 723 (also available on the National Water Information System [NWIS] web at https://waterdata.usgs.gov/monitoring-location/395512075293701); 3) a weighing bucket rain gage for measuring precipitation at DE 723; and 4) a cosmic ray neutron sensor (CRNS) for measuring proximal field-scale soil moisture. Data from each pod (4 locations), the CRNS (1 location), and the well (1 location) are presented in separate text/csv files (6 total). All time-series data is reported in 30-minute intervals from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2024.
Compiled data for groundwater levels, groundwater withdrawals by wells and quarries, and point-source discharges to streams in the vicinity of Willow Grove and Warminster, Bucks and Montgomery Counties, Pennsylvania, for selected years during 1999-2017
공공데이터포털
This USGS Data Release includes hydrologic data compiled for selected years during the period 1990-2017 to support the development and calibration of a numerical groundwater model used to simulate groundwater flow paths at and near former and currently active military bases in Montgomery and Bucks Counties in southeastern Pennsylvania (Goode and Senior, 2020). The hydrologic data compiled for the study area include: 1) withdrawal (pumping) rates for production and other wells; 2) quarry pumping rates; 3) rates of flow discharged to streams from the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) sources, and 4) measured water levels in wells. The data were compiled from various sources described in the metadata for each type of data, with complete references for data sources listed in (Goode and Senior, 2020). Withdrawal (pumping) and discharge rates in the data release represent annual average rates computed as needed from data compiled from various sources. The principal time periods for compiled data include 1990's, 2010, 2013, 2016, and 2017. Some values are estimated where data were missing or not available.
