Water temperature, salinity, and velocity taken by CTD and ADCP from a small boat and remote-controlled surface vehicle from 2012-07-16 to 2012-07-25 in Sarqardleq Fjord, Greenland (NCEI Accession 0210572)
This dataset contains water temperature, salinity, and velocity taken by CTD and ADCP during 2012-07-16 to 2012-07-25 in Sarqardleq Fjord, Greenland. These data address the interaction of the ocean with tidewater glaciers around the margins of the Greenland Ice Sheet is thought to be a key control on ice sheet stability. Thus, understanding the processes which drive melting of the calving fronts of tidewater glaciers by the ocean is fundamental to projections of future global mean sea level rise. Our understanding is however currently limited, partly due to the scarcity of oceanographic data from close to the calving fronts of tidewater glaciers. The primary goal of these measurements was to quantify the ocean conditions adjacent to a west Greenland tidewater glacier. In particular, knowledge of the water temperature and water velocity is highly valuable as these are understood to be the two primary variables determining the rate at which the ocean melts the calving front of the glacier. These temperature, salinity, and velocity data were collected near a tidewater glacier in Sarqardleq Fjord, West Greenland during July 2012. Data are in NetCDF.

Different parameters had been observed, including 53 CTD sites, 53 LADCP sites, 12 Chlorophyll sites, 19 Zooplankton sites and 22 Nutrients sites. Besides, 16 sedimentary cores or surface sediments had been collected. These data are submitted as part of the World Data Service for Oceanography, Marine Research data U2014-022. 공공데이터포털
Thirty-one temperature and salinity profiles from Sermilik Fjord in East Greenland, close to the town of Tasiilaq. The profiles were collected with a Seabird SBE25plus CTD (#0251108) during August 2015 from the research vessel Adolf Jensen. The profiles are 1-m bin averages. The profiles form an approximate along-fjord transect; a handful of profiles were collected on the shelf outside of the fjord. These data were collected as part of a project that monitors Sermilik Fjord to determine what water masses flow into the fjord; in particular, if warm, Atlantic water from the Irminger Sea is able to penetrate into the fjord. Data are in netcdf format.

공공데이터포털
This data set contains temperature, salinity, and pressure observations from seven subsurface moorings placed in the Uummannaq Bay, west Greenland. The purpose was to quantify heat transport and water mass variability near the tidewater glaciers in this area. This dataset also contains water-column profiles of salinity and temperature collected using a conductivity/temperature/depth (CTD) sensor and water-column velocity data collected using a vessel-mounted acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) collected only in 2014. CTD data were collected throughout the fjords of Uummannaq Bay from the R/V Sanna (Greenland Institute of Natural Resources vessel) using an RBR profiling CTD throughout the project period. ADCP data were collected using an RDI 300 kHz ADCP during during certain CTD transects only from the R/V Sanna during summer 2014. The ADCP was pole-mounted off the side of the vessel with an integrated Hemisphere GPS receiver. Data were subsampled to 15-minute intervals. The data file format is NetCDF.
