2012 NSDUH Mental Health Surveillance Study Design and Estimation Report
공공데이터포털
This report describes the design and estimation procedures to the supplemental Mental Health Surveillance Study (MHSS) data collection to the 2012 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH). The report describes instruments used in measuring mental illness, sample design and selection (including the MHSS clinical sample characteristics), data collection and processing, weighting, nonresponse adjustment, and the development of the model for estimating mental illness.
2012 NSDUH Data Collection Final Report
공공데이터포털
This is the data collection final report to the 2012 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH). The report documents sampling operations, counting and listing operations, data collection staffing, preparation of survey materials, field staff training, data collection procedures, response rates, and quality control procedures.
2018 Methodological Summary and Definitions
공공데이터포털
This report summarizes the 2018 NSDUH methods and other supporting information relevant to estimates of substance use and mental health issues, and organized into five chapters. Chapter 1 is an introduction to the report. Chapter 2 describes the survey, including information about the sample design; data collection procedures; and key aspects of data processing, such as development of analysis weights. Chapter 3 presents technical details on the statistical methods and measurement, such as suppression criteria for unreliable estimates, statistical testing procedures, and issues for selected substance use and mental health measures. Chapter 4 covers special topics related to prescription psychotherapeutic drugs. Chapter 5 describes other sources of data on substance use and mental health issues, including data sources for populations outside the NSDUH target population. Appendix A is a glossary that covers key definitions for use as a resource with the 2018 NSDUH reports and detailed tables. Appendix B provides a list of contributors to the report.
2012 NSDUH Statistical Inference Report
공공데이터포털
This report describes the statistical inference procedures used to produce design-based estimates for the 2012 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH). These design-based estimates are presented in the 2012 national findings report detailed tables, as well as the 2012 mental health findings report and detailed tables. The report covers missingness rates, sampling error, degrees of freedom, statistical significance differences, confidence intervals, incidence estimates, and suppression of estimates with low precision.
2015 National Survey on Drug Use and Health: Methodological Summary and Definitions
공공데이터포털
This report summarizes methods and other supporting information that are relevant to estimates of substance use and mental health issues from the 2015 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), an annual survey of the civilian, noninstitutionalized population of the United States aged 12 years old or older. Section A describes the survey, including information about the sample design, data collection procedures, and key aspects of data processing (e.g., development of analysis weights). Section B presents technical details on the statistical methods and measurement, such as suppression criteria for unreliable estimates, statistical testing procedures, and issues for selected substance use and mental health measures. Section C describes changes that were made to the 2015 NSDUH questionnaire and the effects of these changes on the comparability of estimates between 2015 and earlier years. A glossary that covers key definitions used in NSDUH reports and tables is included in Section D. Section E describes other sources of data on substance use and mental health issues, including data sources for populations outside the NSDUH target population. A list of references cited in the report (Section F) and contributors to this report (Section G) also are provided.

Results from the 2012 National Survey on Drug Use and Health: Mental Health Findings
공공데이터포털
This report present results from the 2012 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) Mental Health Findings, including national estimates of the prevalence of past year mental disorders and past year mental health service utilization for youths aged 12 to 17 and adults aged 18 or older. Among adults, estimates presented include rates and numbers of persons with any mental illness (AMI), serious mental illness (SMI), suicidal thoughts and behavior, major depressive episode (MDE), treatment for depression (among adults with MDE), and mental health service utilization. Estimates for youths include MDE, treatment for depression (among youths with MDE), and mental health service utilization. Measures related to the co-occurrence of mental disorders with substance use or with substance use disorders also are presented for both adults and youths. The report focuses mainly on trends between 2011 and 2012. Results are also provided by age group, gender, race/ethnicity, education level, employment status, county type, poverty level, insurance status, overal health, and geographic area.
