2025 SCDVA Lidar DEM: Charleston County, SC
공공데이터포털
BERKELEY, CHARLESTON, ORANGEBURG LIDAR DATA COLLECTION Lidar Data Acquisition and Processing Production Task Charleston County Contract Number: 6004 RFQ Number: 6004-25C Woolpert Order No: 10020258 CONTRACTOR: Woolpert Lidar data is a remotely sensed high-resolution elevation data collected by an airborne platform. The lidar sensor uses a combination of laser range finding, GPS positioning, and inertial measurement technologies. The lidar systems collect data point clouds that are used to produce highly detailed Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) of the earth's terrain, man-made structures, and vegetation. This task order requires lidar data to be acquired over Charleston County (+/- 1,197 square miles). This lidar data set is comprised of lidar point cloud data, raster DEMs, raster DSMs, raster intensity imagery, and GPS flight line trajectory data. The task required the lidar data to be collected at a nominal pulse spacing (NPS) of 1.15 feet. The lidar dataset was produced using a horizontal datum/projection of NAD83, State Plane South Carolina, International Feet and a vertical datum of NAVD88 (Geoid 18), International Feet. Tidal areas in Charleston's data acquisition were collected within +/- 2 hours of low tide. Additional deliverables include control data and tile index in Esri shapefile format, lidar processing and survey reports in PDF format, and project-level FGDC CSDGM metadata in XML format. This data was provided to the NOAA Office for Coastal Management (OCM) by the Charleston County Public Works Department, for the purpose of making the data publicly available for custom and bulk downloads from the NOAA Digital Coast Data Access Viewer.

Original Product: Hydroflattened Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data covering the NOAA AK Communities 2025 project area. Original Dataset Geographic Extent: This dataset and derived products encompass five areas covering approximately 92,475 acres of Southwest Alaska. Original Dataset Description: Lidar flight line swaths were processed to create 825 classified LAS 1.4 files delineated in 750m x 750m tiles tiles. Each LAS file contains lidar point information, which has been calibrated, controlled, and classified. Class 2 (ground) lidar points in conjunction with the hydro breaklines were used to create 825 - 0.5 meter hydro-flattened Raster DEMs delineated in 750m x 750m tiles tiles. Non-Vegetated Vertical Accuracy (NVA) was assessed using 101 check points located on bare earth in clear, unobstructed areas. Vegetated Vertical Accuracy (VVA) was assessed using 26 check points in Tall Grass, Forest, and Shrub landcover types. Additional products include classified LAS files, intensity images, maximum surface height rasters, and 3D breaklines of water bodies within the study area. Ground Condition: Ground conditions were free of snow and acquisition occurred free of smoke, fog and cloud cover.
2024 USACE SAM Topographic Lidar: Lake Seminole (AL, FL, GA)
공공데이터포털
Original Data: These files contain topographic lidar elevations generated from data collected using a Teledyne ALTM Galaxy PRIME sensor. Native lidar data is not generally in a format accessible to most Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Specialized in-house and commercial software packages are used to process the native lidar data into 3-dimensional positions that can be imported into GIS software for visualization and further analysis. Horizontal positions, provided in decimal degrees of latitude and longitude, are referenced to the North American Datum of 1983 National Adjustment of 2011 (NAD83 (2011)). Vertical positions are referenced to the NAD83 (2011) ellipsoid and provided in meters. The 3-D position data are sub-divided into a series of LAS files, which are tiled into 1-km by 1-km boxes defined by the Military Grid Reference System. The data were provided to the NOAA Office for Coastal Management (OCM) by the USACE Joint Airborne Lidar Bathymetry Technical Center of Expertise (JALBTCX) to make the data publicly available for bulk and custom downloads from the NOAA Digital Data Access Viewer (DAV).

Original Dataset Product: These lidar data are processed Classified LAS 1.4 files, formatted to 2690 individual 1500 m x 1500 m tiles; used to create intensity rasters, 3D breaklines and hydro-flattened DEMs as necessary. Original Dataset Geographic Extent: Cayuga, Jefferson, Lewis, Orleans, Oswego, St. Lawrence, and Wayne Counties counties, New York, covering approximately 2337 square miles. Original Dataset Description: The lidar project called for the Planning, Acquisition, processing and derivative products of lidar data to be collected at a nominal pulse spacing (NPS) of 0.7 meters. Project specifications are based on the U.S. Geological Survey National Geospatial Program Base Lidar Specification v2023, Rev. A. The data was developed based on a horizontal projection/datum of NAD83 (2011), Universal Transverse Mercator, meters and vertical datum of NAVD88 (GEOID18), meters. Lidar data was delivered as flightline-extent unclassified LAS swaths and as processed Classified LAS 1.4 files, formatted to 2690 individual 1500 m x 1500 m tiles, as tiled Intensity Rasters, and as tiled bare-earth DEMs; all tiled to the same 1500 m x 1500 m schema. Ground Conditions: Lidar was collected in spring 2023, while no snow was on the ground and rivers were at or below normal levels. In order to post process the lidar data to meet task order specifications and meet ASPRS vertical accuracy guidelines, Sanborn Map Company, Inc., established a total of 28 ground control points that were used to calibrate the lidar to known ground locations established throughout the project area. An additional 150 independent accuracy checkpoints, 84 in Bare Earth and Urban landcovers (84 NVA points), 66 in Tall Grass and Brushland/Low Trees categories (66 VVA points), were used to assess the vertical accuracy of the data. These check points were not used to calibrate or post process the data. 2010 US B.O.R. Lidar: Klamath River, CA
공공데이터포털
Watershed Sciences, Inc. (WS) collected Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) data of the Klamath River and associated riparian zones from Klamath Falls, Oregon to Happy Camp, California for Woolpert, Inc. Acquisition of the data occurred between February 27th and March 15th, 2010. The total deliverable area, including a 100 m buffer, is 107,547 acres. The LiDAR survey uses a Leica ALS60 laser system. For the Klamath River survey area, the sensor was set to yield an average native pulse density of > 8 points per square meter over terrestrial surfaces. Up to 4 range measurements are possible per pulse, and all discernible laser returns were processed for the output dataset. OCM received 1,039 LAZ files from the Oregon Lidar Consortium. The files were in California State Plane zone 1 projected coordinate system, NAD83 (HARN) and geoid09. No metadata came with this dataset; information in this record is derived from the accompanying project report, which is linked below. Additionally, bare-earth DEMs produced from this dataset are available for download, and are linked in the Related Items section below.
