This dataset contains seawater biogeochemical measurements of the inorganic carbon system (dissolved inorganic carbon and total alkalinity), stable oxygen isotope ratios of seawater (𝛿18O), salinity measured on a benchtop salinometer, nutrient concentrations (silicate, phosphate, nitrate, nitrite, and ammonium), as well as CTD measurements (salinity, temperature, pressure), and oxygen concentration measurements from a probe (SBE-43). The measurements were collected during Leg 2 of the 2019 research cruise of the CCGS Amundsen throughout Baffin Bay, Lancaster Sound, and Nares Strait (eastern Canadian Arctic).

The Joint Ocean Ice Study (JOIS) in 2010 involved the collaboration of Fisheries and Oceans Canada researchers with colleagues primarily from the U.S.A and Japan. This program forms an important Canadian contribution to international climate research programs and is comprised of two ongoing programs: the Beaufort Gyre Exploration Project (BGEP), a collaboration with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution scientists and the Pan-Arctic Climate Investigation (PACI), a collaboration with Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) scientists.
