Chemical, physical and profile oceanographic data collected aboard the PELICAN in the Gulf of Mexico from 2010-05-10 to 2010-07-21 in response to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill event (NCEI Accession 0069087)
공공데이터포털
Chemical, physical and profile oceanographic data were collected aboard the PELICAN in the Gulf of Mexico from 2010-05-10 to 2010-07-21 in response to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill event on April 20, 2010, by the Subsurface Monitoring Unit (SMU), which consisted of multiple government and corporate agencies. These data include CDOM fluorescence, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, hydrostatic pressure, salinity, sound velocity, temperature and water density. The instruments used to collect these data included CTD, fluorometer and oxygen meter along with other physical sampling devices. More specific information about each dataset is located in their individual metadata records. The CTD data underwent preliminary quality assurance and control procedures at the National Coastal Data Development Center (NCDDC). Cruise level information consisting of data management documents, cruise reports and plans, videos and pictures, and other miscellaneous documentation were gathered by the data managers.
Sea surface temperature, salinity, and other presence or absence data for epipelagic tows collected during R/V Pelican cruise PE18-01 (LF2017A) in the northern Gulf of Mexico from 2017-07-01 to 2017-07-04 (NCEI Accession 0239305)
공공데이터포털
This dataset reports presence or absence data and other environmental cruise data collected in the Gulf of Mexico during R/V Pelican cruise PE18-01 (LF2017A) from 2017-07-01 to 2017-07-04. Larvae were collected with paired 61-cm bongo nets with 333 and 500-micron mesh. General Oceanics Flowmeters (Model 2030R, Miami, FL), were placed within net frames to determine the surface area sampled by each net. Fish larvae and early juveniles collected with net gear were preserved onboard in 95% ethanol. The dataset includes sampling and identification of larval fishes from epipelagic tows and environmental data (temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen) from 47 stations. Sea surface temperature, salinity, and dissolved oxygen were measured at the surface of each station using a Sonde 6920 Environmental Monitoring System (YSI Inc., Yellow Springs, Ohio, United States).
CTD, and other data collected from R/V Pelican off the Mississippi River Delta in the Gulf of Mexico for the GISR:G01 Field Study and Mooring Deployment Cruise from 2012-07-05 to 2012-07-11 (NCEI Accession 0130371)

Current meter moorings with internally-recording instruments were deployed on this cruise (G01) in July 2012. (The moorings were recovered and redeployed in July 2013). During this cruise a CTD/Rosette samplers, two shipboard acoustic Doppler currents profilers (75Khz and 300Khz), and an underway continuous sampling system were operated. This data set includes CTD data, NISKIN bottle samples (salinity, dissolved oxygen, DOC, and estimated oil equivalents) and documentation. Nutrients and DIC were collected but not analyzed at the time of this submission.
ADCP, CTD, MIDAS, and cruise track data collected from R/V Pelican in Galveston and Trinity Bay, Texas and the Gulf of Mexico from 2013-10-17 to 2013-10-20 (NCEI Accession 0159419)

Sampling of in situ seawater, macroalgae, macrocrustaceans and associated fauna (cruise GoMRI-II, October 17-20 2013, stns 1-18, data available for all) aboard the R/V Pelican cruise id PE14-10b was targeted to repeat sampling of previously studied hard banks and adjacent deep waters west of the mouth of the Mississippi River and extending east to offshore Alabama, an area encompassing roughly 27°58'N to 29°26'N and 87°34'W to 91°01'W. Submitted metadata are ADCP, CTD, Marks and Cruise Track Data.
NRDA-processed CTD data from the WEATHERBIRD II in the Gulf of Mexico, Cruise 1 Leg 1, collected from 2010-05-06 to 2010-05-12, associated with the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill event (NCEI Accession 0130282)

Conductivity Temperature and Depth (CTD) measurements were collected aboard R/V Weatherbird II to determine physical oceanographic parameters of the water column, and in some cases used to help guide sample collection as part of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill sampling effort. Temperature, conductivity/salinity, depth, dissolved oxygen, and fluorometry data were collected onboard the Weatherbird II, Cruise 01. The final product is a series of NetCDF files containing every CTD cast that has been processed and quality checked.

Short-lived radioisotope, sediment core photographs, sediment texture and composition data collected aboard R/V Weatherbird II and R/V Pelican cruises in the Gulf of Mexico from 2012-04-09 to 2012-10-18 (NCEI Accession 0231450)
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains short-lived radioisotope (SLRad), sediment core photographs, and sediment texture and composition data collected aboard R/V Weatherbird II cruises WB-0812 and WB-1012, and R/V Pelican cruise PE12-22 in the northern Gulf of Mexico from 2012-04-09 to 2012-10-18. Both SLRad data and sediment texture and composition data were generated for selected core sub-samples at 2mm sampling intervals for âsurficial unitâ and 5mm sampling resolution intervals to the base of cores. Sediment texture values were expressed as percent gravel, sand, silt, and clay. Percent of mud can be calculated by combining percent silt and clay. Sediment composition was expressed as percent total organic matter (TOM) measured by loss on ignition (LOI), percent carbonate content measured by acid leaching, and the percent insoluble residue (IR), which was likely dominated by terrigenous clastic (land-derived) sediment sources. For sediment-core photograph data, sediment cores were longitudinally split and photographed with a Nikon D5100 digital camera with a scale in metric units (cm and mm) for a visual representation of sediment stratigraphy, color, and visual properties.
