Palmyra Atoll, 2006 Sea Surface Temperature and Meteorological Enhanced Mooring - CRED CREWS Near Real Time and Historical Data
Site Palmyra Atoll, (5.88467, -162.10281 ) ARGOS ID 307-001. Time series data from this mooring provide high resolution sea surface temperature and conductivity, and surface atmospheric pressure, air temperature, compass, surface PAR, salinity, surface UVB, subsurface PAR, and subsurface UVB, Direction component wind velocity U/V; for the surrounding coral reef ecosystem. Data telemetry also serves to alert researchers to the potential of imminent or ongoing coral reef bleaching or other natural events (hurricanes, storm damage, cooling, etc.) so that additional field observations and data collection efforts can be initiated, if warranted.

공공데이터포털
Data from Coral Reef Ecosystem Division (CRED), NOAA Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center (PIFSC) Subsurface Temperature Recorders (STR) provide a time series of water temperature at coral reef sites. Data is typically collected at 1800 second intervals for a duration of 2 years using a SBE39 Temperature Recorder (Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc., www.seabird.com). When a STR is recovered, a new one is typically deployed in the same place. Time series data combining multiple deployments from a given site may also be available. Please contact CRED with any questions. For program information see the web site https://www.fisheries.noaa.gov/pacific-islands/ecosystems/coral-reefs-pacific
