Data for "Characterizing Nitrogen Oxides and Fine Particulate Matter Near Major Highways in the United States Using the National Near-Road Monitoring Network"
This dataset represents the raw hourly, daily, and design value data used in this article. All of the data was downloaded from EPA's Air Quality System (AQS) with the exception of the list of near-road sites which was downloaded from https://www.epa.gov/amtic/no2-monitoring-near-road-monitoring. The datasets are named based on their AQS parameter code (see https://www.epa.gov/aqs/aqs-code-list), averaging time, and years included. Citation information for this dataset can be found in the EDG's Metadata Reference Information section and Data.gov's References section.

These data are described in the associated publication and consist of a 2017 model simulation of EPA’s Community Multiscale Air Quality (CMAQ) model version 5.3.2 with updated mobile NH3 emission factors for diesel and gasoline vehicles. The NARSTO_EPA_SS_LOS_ANGELES_PM25_NITRATE data were collected between July 2001 and January 2002. At Claremont and Rubidoux (Los Angeles County, California), Cascaded Integrated Collection and Vaporization System for Particulate Nitrate (ICVS for Nitrate) was used in a mobile trailer to collect PM2.5 particulate nitrate data during July 11, 2001 to January 11, 2002. The ICVS for Nitrate measured PM2.5 particulate nitrate data that cover sizes from 0.1-2.5um in every 10 minutes.The overall objective of the Los Angeles Supersite in Southern California Particle Center and Supersite (SCPCS) is to conduct monitoring and research that contributes to a better understanding of the measurement, sources, size distribution, chemical composition and physical state, spatial and temporal variability, and linkages to health effects of airborne particulate matter in the Los Angeles Basin.The U.S. EPA Particulate Matter (PM) Supersites Program was an ambient air monitoring research program designed to provide information of value to the atmospheric sciences, and human health and exposure research communities. Eight geographically diverse projects were chosen to specifically address these EPA research priorities: (1) to characterize PM, its constituents, precursors, co-pollutants, atmospheric transport, and its source categories that affect the PM in any region; (2) to address the research questions and scientific uncertainties about PM source-receptor and exposure-health effects relationships; and (3) to compare and evaluate different methods of characterizing PM including testing new and emerging measurement methods.NARSTO (formerly North American Research Strategy for Tropospheric Ozone) is a public/private partnership, whose membership spans government, the utilities, industry, and academe throughout Mexico, the United States, and Canada. The primary mission is to coordinate and enhance policy-relevant scientific research and assessment of tropospheric pollution behavior; activities provide input for science-based decision-making and determination of workable, efficient, and effective strategies for local and regional air-pollution management. Data products from local, regional, and international monitoring and research programs are available.

MESURE_SCTN_CN은 측정구간, MESURE_DE는 측정일, MESURE_HM은 측정시간을 의미합니다. 대기오염물질의 비산정보(_CO_QY, _NOX_QY, _HC_QY, _PM_QY, _CO2_QY, _TSP_QY, _PM_TEN_QY)는 CO, Nox, HC, PM, CO2, TSP, PM10 7가지로 분류하여 제공됩니다. 고속도로 측정지점에서 인근 지역으로의 대기오염물질 확산에 대한 정보를 정량적으로 제공해 줌으로써 GIS기반의 모델링을 통해 대기오염물질 확산 정보를 시각적으로 생성하는데 활용할 수 있습니다
