Physical, chemical, biological, meteorological, and other data were collected from bottle casts, CTD casts, and divers from FIXED PLATFORMS. Data were collected by Western Washington University (WWU) from 06 February 1989 to 12 March 1998. Physical parameters include water temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and salinity. Nutrients parameters include concentrations of ammonia, nitrate, phosphate, phaeopigment, and C02. Meteorological parameters include wind speed, rainfall, and cloud cover. Skin diver data include sighting of juvenile rockfish, collection of sea cucumbers, and collection of green urchins.

Chemical and temperature profile data were collected using bottle and CTD casts from the THOMAS THOMPSON in the Pacific Ocean from March 19, 1992 to October 21, 1992. Data were collected three different universities and a institution; Oregon State University, University of Washington, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and University of Maryland; Horn Point Environmental Laboratory as part of the Joint Global Ocean Flux Study/Equatorial Pacific Basin Study (JGOFS/EQPAC) project.

This dataset includes CTD and Bottle data, from mostly French platforms, and provided by IFREMER, including 31 CTD data files with 1537 stations from 1987 to 2003, 31 Bottle data files with 1467 stations from 1990 to 2002, and 37 Historical Bottle data files with 1300 stations from 1964 to 1973. All data files are in the MEDATLAS format. The historical files were digitilized in 2003 by IFREMER from the original paper data.

Data were collected by the Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO) as part of the International Decade of Ocean Exploration / Geochemical Ocean Study (IDOE/GEOSECS). Physical parameters include depth, temperature, salinity, and pressure. Chemical parameters include concentrations of oxygen, phosphate, nitrate, nitrite, and silicate. This report contains results from the fifth cruise of the Marine Optical Characterization Experiment. A variety of spectroradiometric observations of the upper water column and atmosphere were made by investigators from the University of Miami, NOAA, CHORS, CICESE, Oregon State University, University of South Florida, UABC, NERSC and MLML. Data presented here were obtained by oceanographic CTD profiler: salinity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, beam attenuation and chlorophyll-a fluorescence; and by water samplers: total suspended matter and suspended organic carbon and nitrogen, salinity, and dissolved oxygen. Data were collected from 01 October 1999 to 21 October 1999.
