Physical, biological and optical oceanographic data collected from moorings deployed in the Bering Strait from 08/27/2007 to 09/02/2009 (NCEI Accession 0062860)
From 2007 to 2009, a total of eight moorings were deployed, including A1W, A1, and A1E in the Russian channel of the Strait, A2W, A2, A4W (A4W for 2007 to 2008 and A4R for 2008 to 2009), A4 in the US channel of the strait, and A3 at a site just north of the strait. Moorings carry a variety of instruments: ADCP, Temperature Salinity Pressure recorder (with optical data), Pressure Gauge, acoustic current meter with turbidity sensor, and lightweight acoustic current meter. These data were collected by the University of Washington Applied Physics Laboratory personnel as part of the Russian-American Long-term Census of the Arctic project (RUSALCA).

공공데이터포털
This is an archive of data from moorings deployed in the US waters of the Bering Strait from summer 2011 to summer 2013 (with mooring servicing in summer 2012). For 2011 to 2012, a total of 8 moorings were deployed. Mooring deployments were funded by the NSF Arctic Observing Network (AON) award ARC-0855748 (PIs: Woodgate, Weingartner, Whitledge and Lindsay) with shiptime support from the NOAA RUSALCA (Russian-US Long Term Census of the Arctic) program. For an overview of previous and on-going Bering Strait mooring work, please see http://psc.apl.washington.edu/BeringStrait.html. Moorings carry a variety of instruments. All records are year-round, sampling hourly or more frequently. See the cruise report for details on the instruments used and sampling methods.
Physical oceanographic data collected from moorings deployed in the Bering Strait from 2005-07-10 to 2006-07-16 (NCEI Accession 0013223)
공공데이터포털
Moorings were deployed from summer 2005 to summer 2006. Each data file contains the data from one instrument-year. The listed year is the year in which the mooring was deployed. Moorings A2 and A3 were equipped with an upward-looking sonar (PI: Moritz, UW), but these data are not included in this archive. The Sea-Bird instrument at Mooring A2 (indicated as wOptical in the following list) was equipped with optical sensors for fluorescence, turbidity and PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) (PI: Whitledge, UAF). These data are included in this archive, although only minimal quality control of the data has been performed, as noted in the header files. This leaves to the user final judgments about which portions of the optical records are usable. Very basic tests suggest the PAR data is likely unusable. The A2 Mooring was also equipped with NAS-2E nitrate analyzer (PI: Whitledge, UAF), but these data are not included in this archive.
Physical oceanographic mooring data (temperature, salinity, velocity including ADCP ice tracking) collected from Bering Strait Moorings A2, A3, A4 in Bering Strait from 2014-07-02 to 2015-07-05 (NCEI Accession 0155760)
공공데이터포털
This is an archive of data from moorings deployed in Bering Strait from summer 2014 to summer 2015. Mooring deployments were funded by the NSF-Arctic Observing Network award PLR-1304052 (PI: Woodgate, Heimbach and Nguyen), in collaboration with the NOAA RUSALCA (Russian-US Long Term Census of the Arctic) program. For 2014 to 2015, a total of three moorings were deployed: two moorings (A2 and A4) in the US channel of the strait, and one mooring (A3) at a site just north of the strait. Sites A2, and A3 were established in 1990. A2 and A3 have been occupied almost continuously (all years except 96-97) since then. Site A4 was established in 2001. Mooring location A2 is in the middle of the eastern (Alaskan side) channel. Mooring location A3 is just north of the strait, immediately east of the Russian-US EEZ (Exclusive Economic Zone) line. Experience has shown that site A3 samples both eastern and western channel water. Mooring location A4 is close to the Alaskan coast and allows measurement of the Alaska Coastal Current.
