CTD and other data were collected from NOAA Ship RONALD H. BROWN in the SE Pacific (limit-140 W) from 01 February 2001 to 08 March 2001. CTD data consist of temperature and salinity profiles. Profiles were collected by three programs: Equatorial Pacific Air-Sea CO2 Exchange Experiment (GASEX II), East Pacific Investigation of Climate Processes in the Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere System (EPIC 2001), and Global Ocean-Atmosphere-Land System (GOALS)/Pan American Climate Studies (PACS). Data were collected in support of gas flux measurements to improve our understanding of the forcing functions of the kinetics of air-sea gas exchange.

CTD and other data were collected from NOAA Ship RONALD H. BROWN and NOAA Ship KA'IMIMOANA in the NE and SW Pacific from 14 January 2001 to 05 December 2001. CTD data consist of temperature and salinity profiles. CTD data were collected from NOAA Ship DISCOVERER and other platforms from the North Pacific Ocean and other locations. Data were collected from 01 April 1968 to 26 June 1993. Data were processed by NODC to the NODC standard F022 High-Resolution CTD/STD Output Format. The F022 format contains high-resolution data collected using CTD (conductivity-temperature-depth) and STD (salinity-temperature-depth) instruments. As they are lowered and raised in the oceans, these electronic devices provide nearly continuous profiles of temperature, salinity, and other parameters. Data values may be subject to averaging or filtering or obtained by interpolation and may be reported at depth intervals as fine as 1m. Cruise and instrument information, position, date, time and sampling interval are reported for each station. Environmental data at the time of the cast (meteorological and sea surface conditions) may also be reported. The data record comprises values of temperature, salinity or conductivity, density (computed sigma-t), and possibly dissolved oxygen or transmissivity at specified depth or pressure levels. Data may be reported at either equally or unequally spaced depth or pressure intervals. A text record is available for comments.

This dataset contains water temperature, salinity, and other parameters collected by CTD from NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown in the north Pacific Ocean off California. Cruise RB-21-02 in June 2021 had the objective to service moorings for the CCE (California Current Ecosystem) project, as well as the CORC (Consortium on the Ocean's Role in Climate) project. To calibrate and validate the mooring data, CTD casts with water samples were done. The CTD data are reported here. The CTD data have been quality-controlled and adjusted using the water sample data. Additional cruise data files are available through the NOAA Rolling Deck to Repository program (R2R, see references under 'Documentation' bullet on this dataset landing page), and the water sample data are published separately through the Ocean Carbon and Acidification Data Portal at NCEI (also in references). The raw instrument data (*.xmlcon and *.hex files from the software by Sea-Bird Scientific) are also available. Processed data are in NetCDF and also in CNV format.

Physical oceanographic data were collected by NOAA's Navigation Response Team 3 in the NE Pacific Ocean from 09 March 2007 to 14 November 2007. Data were collected from CTD casts and parameters include temperature and salinity profiles. Data are self documenting and are in plain ASCII text.
